For the first time, I feel fear and uncertainty about my future. It seems to me that so much time has passed, and until then I have not decided what I do, what I want and what I strive for.

I just learned to listen to my desires, to understand and be aware of my feelings.

Yes, I try to do only what I like, to communicate with those people that I like, to eat food that I like ... But I do not see the goal towards which people usually move. It's like I'm going with the flow. Letting things happen for the benefit of my feelings.

Perhaps it should be so, but the feeling of "not understanding where I am going" began to haunt me.

When riding a bike in the woods you usually hold the handlebars quite tightly. But sometimes you come across sandy fragments, then, contrary to your intuition, you should let go of the handlebars a little and let it dance in the sand a little. Usually the wheels themselves find the best way to keep you going, you just need to keep pedaling through.. You’re crazy smart, I’m sure you follow✌️

Lovely photos, as always! 😍 About your words: I feel similarly, that these days artists have a hard time. The lockdowns, lack of cultural exchange and budget cuts everywhere make it hard to make a living as an artist. But I guess that’s why they call it a crisis. It will be over someday but until then, maybe you can find comfort knowing that you’re not alone in this.

Another hint... Sometimes in a museum, to really see a painting with all its nuances in detail, you have to counterintuitively step back a few steps, relax and just look at it for a longer time. Trusting the journey may be a tough call, but usually it’s worth the wait - it takes you to new, sometimes unexpected and good places:)

Hey Roam, that’s some good advice! I like the handlebar metaphor. 👍

Perhaps you have arrived. You are a remarkably talented artist who makes beautiful images that stir our souls. You also write magically. It is not like a corporate career where you climb up levels of the bureaucracy. You have arrived and now the question is how you will continue this work you have so beautifully. Perhaps you might gain insight by reading biographies of other great photographers and painters. Georgia O'Keeffe the painter was married for some time to the photographer, Alfred Stieglitz. They might provide you with some answers.
