You know, after breaking up with my boyfriends, I felt relief, I felt freedom and joy. After a while, I realized that it was a toxic relationship that made me unhappy ... and as a result, I realized that I had done everything right.

So, not so long ago I broke up with my "new" boyfriend, but I did not feel lightness and joy. Does this mean that I made the wrong decision?

may be:) I always think that all decision that's what meant to be. No right or wrong. Just an example, a person may feel guilty or regret for the partner, when broke up. But the relationship could be toxic. The same about "happy relationships" when there is a hard time with a partner. A person just run from it... and then feel freedom and joy. So the topic is quite controversial, deepy in your heart - you know an answer! Hugs.

It may mean that you’re evolving emotionally.

Not necessarily, how long had you been together?

You didn't feel lightness and joy, but did you feel the opposite? Are/were those feelings strong? Breaking up does not mean it has to be good or bad. It can be normal where you realize that you both are not looking for the same things, are not aligned for future prospects. Now, the takeaway should be to how to choose the right person, and not repeat the same kind of mistakes in the relationship. All the best and cheers!

It is complicated, the feelings after the romance dies . . . You can miss someone who was not good for you. That's why some people stay too long. They get some satisfaction but not enough.

Time will tell. Go with your instincts
