Book nerd info incoming... Maester Aemon was legitimately crazy old, 103/104 or so when he dies. His brother was King Aegon V (Egg), whom was succeeded by his son King Jaehaerys II, whom was followed by his son King Aerys II (the Mad King), the father of Daenerys. That make Daenerys, Maester Aemons great-grandniece. He is so old, that when he was young, Dragons were still within living memory as they had only been extinct for less than 50 years. He also met many legendary people within the universe of ASOIAF that he is the last surviving person to have met and known these people as everyone in Westerosi nobility from his generation is dead.

This definitely has to be one of the darkest seasons of game of thrones pretty much tying with season 3 in darkness

I love the ending of this episode. Such a great monologue. I think the thing with Theon is that in his head Ramsey is like a supernatural force. Like a god who can hear your every thought and know your every plot. He believes there is nothing that Ramsey doesn't see or know and has given up on any hope of escaping.

I’m kind of surprised that Dany is so uncomfortable with watching people fight to the death considering she spent so much time in a Khalasar.

The thing with Theon, it just goes to show how much power someone can have over you through fear. Theon suffered serious physical, emotional, and mental abuse. And fear keeps him in invisible chains. Also Ramsey is a sadistic bastard. I love him, simply because the actor does such a great job. That’s why I love all the villains, their actors make you really feel a distaste for them.
