The lord who greeted Rhaenyra was the same guy who congratulated her while she struggled up the stairs with baby Joffrey in ep 6. Also Otto meant when he said "befits their station" is that they had no welcome party like they deserved & he instructed that because to him, she isnt the heir etc. Hence the silent welcome, it was very disrespectful and rude. Allicent is the biggest hyprocrite, her sons have done far worse than Rhaenyra, yet she protects them like Visery did for his child and she swore to clubfoot, she would never be like that. Raping and abusing is far worse than Rhaenyra having kids with another because her husband is gay and she needed to provide heir. Allicent has raised and filled her sons with hate, paranoia and resentment for their nephews. Such a shame because they could of been so close, if she encouraged it and kept her hateful comments to herself. No child is born with all this toxic hate, it's made. If she truly cared about the right thing for the realm, she should have took after Rhaenyra, who raised decent, sweet heirs not tryants. Also Allicent has paid off many girls u can tell, she was too well prepped for it all. U shouldn't feel bad for Allicent because he is the son she made and keeps letting it happen by covering it up. No, it isnt old age because look at Otto and the rest. Visery is very ill and sickly.

Viserys' memory goes in and out. Him calling Rhaenrya his only child during the time she was pleading with him goes to show that he will always have Rhaenerya on his mind

Alicent was the victim, she has now turned into the perpetrator. I have very little sympathy for her and her situation at this point in the story - since the time Jump in so 6 really. Shes been beefing rhaenyra and the velaryons for too long. If she was really concerned about decency and honour, she would honour her husbands 20+year decision to name rhaenyra heir. But she and Otto are consumed by greed and station, using faith as a false backbone
