This Tournament Arc is moving at a clip pace!! Our positive energy goes out to Uraraka!! Hopefully the fight goes well. Haha our discussion ended up being completely focused on the upcoming fights and not the fights we just watched! Semblance of Sanity

There's a bit of a time-lag in the blocked episode being fixed, it should be good now!

Vic

Great discussion as always! Can't wait for your reactions on the next 2 fights!

I really think you guys need to stop thinking about the plot of My Hero in terms of "typical shounen". Yes it is a shounen, but My Hero has its own unique take that goes against many of the common plot lines that make typical shounens so predictable. I'd say just keep an open mind because there is a very good chance these next few episodes will break you of the mindset. Stay tuned.....

Momo may not have won her fight with tokoyami even with prep. As far as we know his only weakness is light and the only people who know that at this point are Kouda (Rock head dude who hasn't said a single word yet) Izuku, Mei, and Uraraka. So it's still kinda a hard match to win at that point but if she knew and had time she absolutely could have won. Also I like what you said about the main character upgrade thing which is something the series does pretty well later on with it's characters and one of the reasons I like it. Being able to balance out a big cast is hard but it does a pretty good job at it as it goes on and giving characters cool moments even some joke characters

I will just say this one thing. MHA is *very* consistent with its internal logic. That is one of the things that makes this show great :D Enjoyed your discussions a lot xD

Came for the reaction, stayed for the intense Deku vs Todoroki discussion. Even knowing what's gonna happen already, I love the way you guys seem to know what you're talking about. Watching all the Shonen classics and how they do fights like with Naruto, Bleach, Yu Yu Hakusho, etc. it's great that you're already aware of all the standards in this genre. It also helps when they do it differently in MHA to really stand out from the rest. Good stuff.

love your reactions~ btw, Momo's voice actor is the same for Armin, and Tokoyami's voice actor is the same for Reiner ahhaha It's just a fun thing to think about.
