SOS Bros React - HunterxHunter Episode 36 - The Kid And The Clown

Here's the link to our reaction: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EPbhUeff_zI That. Was. A. FIGHT!!! I'm so glad Gon didn't win, but oh boy was that a fight!! I really like how they revealed Hisoka's true intent/nature in this fight with wanting to build Gon up before breaking him. Even though it's a pretty classic motivation, Hisoka just does it so well! Ohhh the reaction is on Youtube! I really hope it doesn't get taken down ;; I'm glad I get to watch your reaction before I head to work. It's a good way to start the day :>

Lærke

where is the test?

Jacky Lin

man, Hisoka’s ability is so simple and effective and combat

Aya

great reaction and discussion again! i love hearing your theories and observations about this show!

Tatu Fuenzalida

i am a manipulater one as well!! high five Jacob!

Roma

Bunge gum is strictly a transmuter technique. Hisoka is changing the properties of his aura, he is not using any manipulator techniques.

LucasF

Send us the test you took dudes, I'm wondering which class of nen I'd be

spartane69

So can u link the test guys ?

Let's give everyone the test so we can see what your HxH demographic looks like :D

Damiester

"unleash darkness" "raw potential "sexual way" "splendid shattering" "Hisoka X Gon" ... pedophilia confirmed.

And he uses Emitter properties to attach his bungee gum to other objects.

Posted on the youtube video but also posting it here: You really shouldn't look stuff up about Hunter x Hunter. It's going to be rife with spoilers. Everyone was panicking when you said you were going to take a personality quiz.

SOS bros... first.. Really appreciate for the good length and quality discussion in the video. Time for throw back hints: 1. Hisoka in hunter exam arc used to build “pyramid of cards” and destroy it when completed. This was hinting at his character trait which was referenced back in this episode. 2. In hunter exam, snake charmer “barbon” and bee user “ponzu” are manipulator type hatsu. 3. All the members who passed the exam.. where kept tabs on and the nearest pro-hunter will choose to take up the task of training the newbie hunters. Hence the nen teachers showing up conveniently

I believe that is a thing with nen, the more simple the ability is ; it has more potential and flexibility. If you make it complicated it can be incrediblly overpowered, but very limited in use. Like you know who's abilities.

Hy moderators, please forward this to caleb and jakob. you guys are doing a great job and I hope you continue finding it fun. This upcomming arc in hunter x hunter is absolutly amazing, hunter x hunter is not my favorite manga it's not even in the top 5, probably in the to 10. BUT the arc that is comming up soon is my favorite arc of all time, it's completely perfect in all regards and I hope you guys love it too. Have a great day Johan L

Also, yeah, Hisoka is not necessarily a pedophile. He's attracted to strong people and gets off on fighting them. It's a common misconception. It doesn't matter to him what their age or sex is, as long as they're strong, and as long as he gets to kill them. And no, Transmuting is changing the properties of your aura. A Manipulator technique controls an object. His aura is not an object. He gave the properties of gum and rubber to his aura. It's as he said when talking to Machi. It doesn't matter if people know about his ability, because it's so flexible that it's still equally effective. I think the more amusing part of the personality test was the fact that Hisoka admits that, like a blood type personality test, it's "just as unreliable". He basically says it has the same level of accuracy as the horoscope. So it doesn't actually mean anything.

Has anyone suggested that they watch episode 1 of he 1999 ver. or read chapter 1 of the manga yet? If not, please do! It's kinda important. At least I wish I had read/watched it before finishing the 2011 anime.

Another point to note, transmutors are liars and fickle - the treasures become trash to them in a minute. In my personal opinion, This points to Silva(killua’s Dad) prediction of how he knows killua will return back to zoldyck’s.

Devon

when using zetsu you have no defense so you cannot really use it in a fight plus zetsu helps recover nen like recharge not heal

Devon

bungee gum is only a transmuter technique, a manipulator technique would move an control an object itself not us an exterior thing to move it in a simple way a manipulator technique is like a remote control toy, while what hisoka was doing is closer to like a hand moving the object nen is an extetion of yourself that all can interact with the environment

Lalisa Truong

Next arc is another one of my favorite arcs. I actually go back and forth at times between this one and another one :)

tinidor

yep blocked as well :(

Aya

ive seen other youtubers use google photos to post their hxh reactions. ive never used it, so idk what the limitations are or if thered be the same problem as google drive, but it may be an option?

Kamolak

Manipulator Logical, indifferent and advances at own pace.

Grigoriy Mezentsev

Why didn't you download to google drive again, it was wonderful: download and watch as you want. What was the problem with it?

The 100 view limit was a problem, and after the 24 hour mark they got autoflagged and I'm not familiar with their complaint system, but it appeared that if there were repeat problems then they would just take down the account

Davdav

gg for the new Facebook link guys, that's perfect :)

Grigoriy Mezentsev

Facebook gives me "Page not found". Too bad I didn't download the reaction before it got removed, now I have to deal with FB.

cade-carter

a shield would be possible, a conjurer can just make 1, and a special nen shield should also be possible.

Ryan Pearce

Oh, could a mod mention to the bros that they have been missing post credit scenes since episode 27? They are little exposition dumps on characters and abilities that may help their theorizing.
