Btw just to clarify, the dragon wasn’t made of fire. It was made of the water from the clouds he made vanish in that scene. It just looked like fire from the ‘sunlight’ on it. That’s why it turned back into water afterwards.

You didn't catch this in your analysis of the dragon spell, but Qifrey used the clouds around him to gather enough water to make the spell work. That's what you saw when the skies cleared as Qifrey burst through them. There were also enlargement signs added to the circle, amplifying it further. There might also be something else but I can't say much without it being a spoiler so I'll leave it at that.

Qifrey stopping the outro is as hype as Aizen stopping Number One.

I would really love for you guys to watch the Dragon scene all the way up to the end credits in the English dub. Which I have to say I prefer over the Japanese. I feel like being able to hear the actors and actresses, different dialects and accents add a little bit more spice to the characters , but if you listen to nothing else of this show in the English dub at least on your own time watch the Dragon scene all the way up to the end credits in English you won’t regret it. Otherwise another fantastic reaction and analysis.

You can hear the nuances in japanese as well lol. A couple years of college level Japanese goes a long way in enjoying anime!

I do like the localization for the dub a lot (and in places I feel it makes more sense to English-speakers than the one used for the subtitles) and while I think the *idea* to do all the different accents is a great one for showing the width of the world, the job done by the cast at faking those accents is...mixed. And it's distracting when you can hear them struggling to hold them even when the rest of the acting is good. They'd have been better off casting people who actually had those accents instead.
