SOS Bros React - Monster Episode 1 - Tenma's Choice

It's nice to know that even if a whole hospital seems to be full of self-serving a-holes there is at least one person willing to do the right thing. Although as the saying goes, no good deed goes unpunished. And what was all that with the little girl?? We'll be watching these every Monday! As always leave us your thoughts in the comments, we'd love to talk about the show with you! Where are you guys watching this? I can't seem to find it anywhere

Not sure if I’m allowed to post sites (I’ll delete this if that’s the case), but I watched it on KissAnime. Ads are kinda annoying though, so you might wanna try 9anime which still has annoying, but less intrusive ads.

I watched this over 10 years ago....wow I feel old.

Shloppy

Hm, thought you guys might of watched the Dub of this. Always kind of weird watching shows like this in sub.

AP

Aww yeah! Excited to see more people watching this awesome show! :)

This is going to be one hell of a ride! Monster is definitely one of my favourite manga. Urasawa is one of the best storytellers in the manga industry. Readind Monster or 20th Century Boys makes you really understand that the most important thing is not the plot itself but how well you can narrate it.

Urasawa is a legend, no doubt about it. I’d like to see Billy Bat get an adaptation someday but that probably won’t happen, unfortunately.

going in blind, i have trust in your poll guys

Wooooo! I love Monster! Been waiting for this all morning. Some things I wanted to mention: 1) I can’t believe you guys didn’t mention the ED! That unsettled me way more than the little girl’s “Kill him.” It’s so creepy, but in the future, I suggest you guys watch the ending closely for any changes (I don’t think this is a spoiler; just wanna make sure you don’t miss it!) 2) Loving the theories, guys! I’m glad that you guys have been told that this is a slooowww burn, so it might take a while for the puzzle pieces to come together, but I look forward to seeing you piece them one by one. 3) I’ve only watched this show once a long time ago, so I don’t really remember much of what happened except for the major plot points, which makes me so excited to rewatch this with you!

Never watched this show before and excited to watch it with the SOS Bros. Wanted to point out that, the work the girl said in Japanese “korose” does not have a gender or direction. The girl might have asked the doctor to kill her or she might want the doctor to kill the brother or it could be some thing like “burn them all” from game of thrones. Let’s see how this turns out. Cool.

Woo! I'm currently 22 episodes into this anime (started watching when I saw that it was winning the polls) and I am so excited to keep watching alongside you guys!

fatiqsue

It's been on my watch list for the longest time. I suppose now is as good a time as any to finally watch it. Looking forward to the adventure, bros!

cinna

Been waiting for this one. You're in for one hell of a ride. :3

Irenesharda

I've only watched about one cour's amount of episodes of this, so it will be interesting to see if I can finish it with you guys. Let's do this!

Here it's an interesting look at what we can see in language. I think technically, considering she is German, she should be speaking German, and thus, there would have been a gender associated with what she said. So, it's in this interesting space of the language it was written compared to the language intended. Or perhaps, I just find it fascinating...lol

IF YOUR WATCHING ON KISSANIME WITH THE BROS DO NOT WATCH THE 'EXTRA' EPISODE ITS A HALFWAY RECAP.

Roma

jeez. This discussion was kinda of weak,

gimmic

you guys will love this one

FiendishNoodles

This show is excellent and I'm psyched to see you guys watch it!

Its only the first episode. There's not a great amount to discuss. They're doing fine. They talked about all that one can really theorize on at this point.

Clear Lime

9:52 She said "Kill". You are not supposed to know whether she was trying to say "Kill (me)" or "Kill (him)". You might want to watch dub. I've got a feeling sub is going to be terrible for this anime.

Michał Zienkiewicz

Hm, not gonna. [ MAYBE tho, never loved the series substantially]

Riru (〃＾▽＾〃)

Aw, when you say 12-episode shows or less, I suppose you won't be adding Little Witch Academia to your list anytime soon. I can't wait for you guys to watch the show! It's definitely a thriller from start to end and no two episodes are alike.

As much as I'd like to have a reason to watch LWA myself, Jacob have already seen the series which for me instantly makes any other option better by default. That's just me, but I really wasn't a fan of half-blind discussions before.

Yeah, I wasn't the biggest fan of their One Punch Man reactions because of that either.
