ZENO!!! IT'S ZENO!! And hoooooly backstory. Netero you monster. Because why have a condition that might kill you when you can have a condition that *will* make you pay a price (or in this case, give thanks) every. Single. Day. For the rest of your life. Wow. HERE WE GOOOOOOOOOOO

Nox

Netero and Zeno skydive from “birds” with 3 sets of wings….3rd slot?

Marcus Nunes Manoel

Its slower because the things are happening so fucking fast, thats why Togashi is using a narrator.

Kyle Green

Someone please tell me what they thought of the narration. Lol I'm scared to check.

Cody Enos

Why is everybody obssessed with how they handle narration? The whole show has been using narration.

It's one of the most common complaints about this part of the story. It gets really heavy on the narration on what everyone's doing/thinking/thinking of doing next and you name it. Personally I love it because it just fits in my opinion but a reasonable amount of people don't enjoy it as much.

EvAnn

Love how Caleb almost immediately picked up the importance of narration/exposition. I remember I was a bit annoyed it at first, but after you realize how freakishly fast the events in next 15+ episodes go, it really is needed.

Alejandro Gil

Shoot the 112 reaction straight into my veins right now!!!

It felt like they were damage controlling themselves... But they werent turned off

That's so weird. We've had narration since episode 1, and this arc doesn't work without it.

Minashiro Soushi

Yeah, okay, I was waiting for this so much and it was totally worth it. Now, if you excuse me, I need to watch this a second time.

Yuion

I am eagerly waiting for 116

Jacky Lin

moreblueballz x moreblueballz?

JMM

Zeno is a transmuter.

Swaybez

When Caleb said about Gon potentially being a danger to himself...AHHH

It's arguably the most important part of the first dozen or so "palace assault" episodes. So many subtle, little things are occurring SO quickly and in a weird way, it would sometimes be more awkward to have a character think or say it themselves; which is usually how critics suggest solving the narration "problem". I'm with you, I love it. The narrator goes from being the usual "necessary background info" to a full fledged fly-on-the-wall character, as far as I'm concerned.

eFIVE

"Zeno-starfall" Warcraft 3 reference?

Woodsie89
>>15031914

they did say they thought some of it could have been cut, but they didn't really hate or particularly love it.

Garikai

You know its gonna be real when Jacob smacks his chest when he says his name

Yes we've had it from the beginning, but never this heavily. Usually it's just introducing the episode, and closing the episode out, with an occasional scene in the middle here or there. But now, he literally has the most spoken dialogue of any character in this arc, and is speaking from start to finish. People are obsessed with how they handle the narrator, because this is one of their favorite shows, and they really want them to love it too, but they are well aware that a lot of people get turned off by the sudden increase in amount of narration, and are worried that they may also be turned off by it. There is nothing worse then hearing that someone doesn't like your favorite show, so they worry is completely justified. Derrick, "arguably" is the best way to put it, lol, because most people fall into one of two camps, it's either "the most important part" or it's "the most useless part" and really, there is no "right" view. Everyone views the series in a different way, and wants different things out of it.

Jaime Ruiz

Almost time for one of my favorite episodes.

And how Jacob picked up on the fact that some of it could have been trimmed down.

Ezutess

Going to bed until Thursday

Sam

They keep bringing up rts mechanics, I wonder if they clicked with the idea that en is basically acting as a literal fog of war.

Matthew Harrison

Alot of people didn't like the heavy narration on this arc, I enjoyed it though.

Yuion

And I agree in part. I.e. I find it was unnecessary to show netero bitchslapping pitou twice in ultra slowmotion

Lærke

This episode is when HxH became a visual novel, so much narration and exposition! It's cool the second time around, but it really bugged me first time, probably because I had the wrong expectations for the pacing

Lærke

Sooo do hunters need food/water like normal people? I'm guessing no, since Netero somehow hasn't kicked the bucket yet

frederik wøhliche
>>15054362

they had more than enough stuff or atleast potential to have that stuff inside knovs nen ability and for all we know netero could have been back shortly when we didn see it to refuel really

frederik wøhliche
>>15054156

yeah it might be weird for some people but i liked it :) since what kept happening from now on was so chaotic ya kinda needed it to be on the same page

Yuion
>>15054362

I cant tell you much about the details and im not acurate but I think this is a reference to a legend where a monk was able to survive years without eating and gain pure enlightenment. Even Neteros ability (The Statue) is based on the religion the legend is rooted in.

Lærke
>>15054362

You're definitly right about that, but what about Neteros flashback. He threw the punches, then slept and repeat. At least drink some water, man.

Jacky Lin
>>15054156

knowing so much of everything that happens so swiftly is really something i'd like to see more from anime actually because of HxH, i dont want big energy waves i dont want countless bunches, i want details~~~~ little moves, some thoughts, some character developments, well unless you make it emotional then it's a whole other story

Jacob Van Der Burg
>>15054362

Nen is literally life energy so I imagine you can sustain yourself on it for extended periods of time. Anime logic.
