good stuff

Oh shit it’s here. The famous episode 19

pavro

I think everyone who voted for this anime wanted reaction to this ep mostly

Kimetsu season 1 will go down as the worst season of Kimetsu because the material gets 10x better even though it was already good.

Darksteel78

That's one beautiful thumbnail!

RYAN

The kagura in this case refers to the ceremonial dance aka the movements that generate the new sword and breathing technique. Also, in the manga, the glorious fight sequence we witnessed is like 1 panel. Ufotable expanded the whole choreography in the traditional ufotable way of going beyond the source material in certain ways (like they do in Fate/). Always doing their own thing haha

MasterAries7

Hinokami Kagura - Dance of the Fire God, so pass down the earrings, the breathing technique, and the dance.

Reece Fletcher

Welcome to why it was trending on Twitter

Amanda Willson

After credits scene! You skipped it! D:<

StabKingPro

Hinokami literally means god of fire

If you mean the Taisho Secret preview thingy, they watched it. If you mean an actual after credit scene, I am very lost because episode 19 does not have one xD

Raikiri29

The author was so moved when she watched the episode, she cried.

good stuff
>>34921001

Okay, I haven't seen this episode before. I haven't watched the anime at all, really. Just manga only. But my friends hyped this episode up so much. Everyone I've seen online hyped this episode so much. And I gotta say. It's definitely not overhyped. It's badass as shit, and it really did get me emotional.

HybridThizzle
>>34921001

"Overhype" Is a matter of personal preference. To some it lives up to the hype that others give it, to some it doesn't. That's life. But if you shape your opinions based on how other people express their opinions (IE disliking something because a lot of people are excited about it) then you are missing the point of entertainment in the first place.

HybridThizzle

The noise inosuke makes is the japanese onomatopoeia for a pig squeal.

IT IS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At last we’re here!!! HINOKAMI BABY!!!

JG

AT LASTTTT

DAMN i didnt think these guys would keep it dry on this episode x.x

lol I know how you feel. I personally got emotional this episode. But I think their hype took over their emotions.

I didn't end up finishing this show since I didn't really like it, but watching the bros react to this episode was pretty fun

L
>>34933862

I mean.... it is a good episode but no time did I ever get emotional or have "MHA" level hype with this series.... This isn't gonna get them emotional or anything. This is basic writing with good animation. At least what this first season adapted.

jonluke santillana
>>34933862

Ya I agree the animation is incredible but I feel that's really what's holding this series from just being a solid 7- maybe 8 for the good stuff

BirthdayParty

This is how you foreshadow your character's lineage being special. Looking at you Bleach and Naruto.

Xeltos
>>34950676

Bleach kinda did it, but they also kinda foreshadowed him losing it.

KingKien1
>>34933862

@Logan Campbell this scene is more emotional than anything in MHA imo. The execution is way better. MHA to me tries too hard to be emotional by showing the the reactions of everyone all the time. This is way more personal and special cuz of the bond between Nezuko and Tanjiro and what they've been through. And the writing for both series is "basic" tbh.

Matt

Other shows: my family was killed, I'll get revenge. This show: my family was killed, I'll protect my remaining family

Derrick C. Shields
>>34960792

"Revenge" isn't the most cogent word choice. He's pretty clear both about Muzan and demons generally that he wants to kill them to prevent further victims. "I'll kill Muzan BECAUSE of what he did to my family" isn't something Tanjiro ever expresses, I don't think (though I'm not caught up on the manga).

Smokey
>>34933862

@KingKien1 The final battle of Deku and bakugo vs nine was emotional without the ‘showing of everyone’s reactions’ the writing of my hero is better than demon slayer imo especially right now in the manga even if they seem ‘basic’

Barre Bonds
>>34933862

@KingKien1 Idk man that episode with Midoriya vs Muscular back in Season 3 was pretty emotional tbh. I guess it was more tears of hype than it was tears of sadness, just depends on your definition of emotional

Miguel mitch

The only genuinely good episode in the whole show

John FD Lobrano

I just want to put it out there, that Tanjiro's dad was sickly when Tanjiro and Nezuko were WIDDLE little kids, and continued to be sickly FOUR KIDS later. So.....who wants to bet that the breathing form for perpetual stamina wasn't JUST used for dancing? BD

JT
>>34926314

It trended because of fortnite streamer ninja lol

Swaybez
>>34950676

Every battle shonen has done it with their MCs. Demon Slayer does nothing different. No need to knock back something else to bring up another. They’re all so similar & generic that’s just how it is

Kevin Hangings

The voice actor of Tanjiro's father is Shinichiro Miki. He is also the voice actor of Roy Mustang and Urahara Kisuke.

Harry Connor

I absolutely love the music in this scene as well, it does such a great job at making the scene more impactful.

Riru (〃＾▽＾〃)

The song that plays at the end of this episode is called "Kamado Tanjirou no Uta" (or Tanjirou Kamado's Song). It's also one of my favourites!

Riru (〃＾▽＾〃)

Also, "Hinokami Kagura" means "Dance of the Fire God." I don't know why the subtitles were being so weird with that/

jahschwa

I still feel like the fire dance was an asspull, but otherwise great episode. I was really mad about it at the time, though episode 20 appeased me a bit. Anyway, Rui is amazing. When he says "I WANT IT" I get chills every time. The demon characterizations are my favorite part of this show.
