Here's my conspiracy hypothesis; Brand didn't challenge the not so recently made up word 'bint' because in the older British listener that may have brought up associations such as Sid James. The bored, middle aged listener, writing an utterly pointless dissertation for a "formerly World-Of-Leather-Sofas" grade 'university' at the behest of their clueless employer, would be grateful for any or all distractions and might google Sid James. They would then see that James' lifetime 'Personal Life - Controversies' section was a few paragraphs less than Brand's who presumably has a few years left yet. Awkward!
