The video thumbnails are on point! Maybe it's time for Professor Matthew Brown and Associate Professor Chris Kavanagh to submit their own article to the NYT?

Matt and Chris look like members of the Beastie Boys i

I have a similar frustration about someone like Jesse Singal in the trans discourse

I’m very concerned that Chris doesn’t have his HAZMAT suit fully zipped up. And both have their heads and hands exposed! Who knows what sneaky pathogens could get in??

Hopefully if we continue to have these thoughtful and sometimes difficult conversations we can finally get to the bottom of this

I very much enjoy what Chris and Matt are doing at DTG, and I agree with many others here that they bring some sanity to a pretty wild environment. That said, I do not understand the problem with the NYT publishing an opinion piece by Alina Chen on the origins of COVID-19. Even though a majority of the scientists with relevant expertise think that a zoonotic origin is more likely than a lab-leak, many experts assign a non-negligible probability to the latter, and most agree that more origin research is needed. Here is an article from Science.org reporting on a survey conducted earlier this year among virologists, epidemiologists, and other experts: https://www.science.org/content/article/virologists-and-epidemiologists-back-natural-origin-covid-19-survey-suggests
