I was thinking that "fan rabidity" could be another factor in the gurometer. Like, in YouTube comments sections sometimes you'll see strong opinions, but a variety of them, and reasonably measured and polite, while with others, 99% of the responses are "absolutely brilliant, you really showed X" and contrary views are savaged. I haven't watched much Triggernometry but I did watch the Sam Harris episode, and when I read the comments I thought wow, we really had a different experience here. I envision a stealth account you can use to post a contrarian view & then measure the pile-on.
