We have a backlog situation and we have three possible subjects for after the Yudkowsky episode, so we thought we would ask the Patrons what they would prefer to see next.

To be clear we will do all three at some point but we just want to determine the order.

If you want to make an alternative special request, add a comment but no promises!

Decode Destiny! Maybe a Richard Wolff / Destiny duo special?

Pixel-davis

How is Eric and Brett's UFO Special less than 100%? That sounds like a gold mine!

Floatgoat.

I need the all of the above option.

Gearoid Farrell

Noam Chomsky! But with a short (30-40 mins) Weinstein bros update as a tease 🙏❤️

Chris Spanos

Eric and Bret's UFO Special would be fun, but I think Noam Chomsky would be a nice change as we already get a lot of Weinstein content. Just my two cents!

Kyle Wilson

Return to Weinstein World with bad_stats & Peez!

Charlotte Goodall

Chomsky. Especially after the recent Epstein revelations.

Jordan

Honestly. I think the only right approach is to take long-form podcasting to its logical, self indulgent conclusion. All three at once. It could be the final podcast of all podcasts! Not much else to be said after all that.

Artemis Green

Oooh - but I will switch my vote to Team UFO Weinsteins if you can get David Pizarro back to join the decoding! Go on, you know you want to...

Dee Loves Ketchup on Eggs

I can’t wait to see the results of this one! Though at some point, tackling the “guru stature” of Jared Leto would be interesting too. Thanks!

João Pedro Lima Delgado

I really need some Weisteins refill on my bloodstream as it keeps me moving through the days

RareTripleBait

Never heard of that Matthew Fella and Chomsky seems too vast and maybe boring. So I voted for the classics.

Paul Bowman

Weinstein bashing, particularly on UFOs, sounds like fun. I voted for Chomsky tho, even if likely less amusing, bc helps the balance on the RW-lean on targets, also more of an epistemic challenge - i.e. not the intellectual equivalent of shooting fish in a barrel that you get with some of the saddoes like Gad (see what I did there?) and his ilk

Alex Anderson

Aliens and UFOs please! Starwars Episode VI: Return of the Grift

Molly Jacobson

That was hard ... I understand why you had a hard time choosing!! I can't wait for all three.

Mandy

I voted for that kooky McConaughey, but Chomsky would also be great!

Daniel

I voted for the Weinstein Bros. Probably less insightful than doing the other two but more entertaining. By the way, I think Bret and Heather's focus on evolution and their bias toward what is natural isn't all bad. They just take it way too far.

Ciaran Mullan

Chomsky would be more interesting, Bret and Eric would be more entertaining. Maybe do a proper episode on Chomsky and a bonus episode on B and E. I suggest a Weinstein themed drinking game - you both take a shot (of GIN) every time the Gurometer dings!

Should you wish to protect the "Guru Right to Respond", Noam Chomsky is ca. 95...

Emma

More Eric and Bret please!! The only problem with DtG is it has caused me to develop a weird sort of affection for the Weinsteins. Like how you feel about your favourite villains in a children's movie. Those bad 🐒🐒 🙈 in Madagascar.

Dean

Just an idea: give the debunker Mick West a shout if you go ahead with the Weinstein/UFO one.

NIALL DAVISON

If I was to take ill and be given just two weeks to live, I don't think I'd be laying on my death bed regretting the fact I never got to listen to the decoding of Chomsky or McConaughey. However, not getting the chance to listen the brothers Weinstein on UFO's might be the biggest regret of my 42 years on this, or any other, planet. There has to be a strong chance this episode might even bring me back to life!

Anjan Sarkar

Tough choice, but can't resist a redux of the great, the eminent and the glorious Weinstein Brothers Band !!

Jon Hand

O Should Donald Trump be allowed on Twitter?

Eric Stern

As someone above said, Chomsky is old, and may he live to be a hundred, but realistically he could go at any moment. You'd have to have a respectful period of mourning, and any decoding might be construed as a rude post-mortem (not that I think that would or should stop you but it might). And yes, no opportunity for him to reply. Brett and Eric are young, you'll potentially have years of fresh new material, but the expiration date on Chomsky draws ever nearer.
