Tokyo’s Midnight Cherry Blossom Night View

Night Cherry Blossom Viewing with a light is something I do every year after everyone’s gone to bed and the neighborhood is quiet. The sakura blossoms are beauiful during the day, the sunlight hitting those white Somei Yoshino pedals with a perfect blue sky background – but at night, with the black night sky, the blossoms really stand out the most. Where is this? ▶︎ https://goo.gl/maps/cRuywDes2Yo8CcAV9 Tsukuda, Cuo Ohashi Bridge In Tokyo, the Cherry Blossom season typically starts on March 18th but you won’t really see them until March 22nd or so. By the last week of March, “Mankai” or full bloom is achieved and the trees look like the tops are covered in snow! It’s an amazing sight all over the country. The best sakura trees are not the ones in tourist areas or in cities, they’re the local ones in neighborhoods or parks that you pass every day, year after year. Would you like a post card from Japan? Thank you, John. I'm self isolating in Honolulu and for a while nothing existed except for the beauty that you unselfishly brought to me and many, many, many others.
