I wanted to do this live so I can take questions and see how you feel. On July 1st, Patreon will add sales tax % (depending on your state) to the amount. I don’t think they had a choice and held it off as long as they could. Click the video play button to see your local time. Thank you! -John

Sales tax is not an issue John. Most online purchases add tax automatically.

I was expecting this. All major internet retailers have done it during this “virus crisis”. Greedy bastards were mad at internet commerce not paying their “dues”.

Well this is an interesting development. How is Patreon determining this? Shipping/Billing Address? Country of Payment Method (a US credit card vs. HK credit card)? Would the rates vary depending on which creator ships where? Depending on the situation, this might be legally avoidable.

The sales tax doesn't bother me. But if my husband doesn't go back to work soon, we might have to drop out for a few months. I'm working, so won't be able to join in live. I'll catch the reply later today. TGIF peeps😁

I started watching but fell asleep on you after a couple minutes (1am)... your voice must be soothing... technically I think I was there as it must have been playing on my iPad the entire stream, that’s why you could sense me 😆... no need to apologise about the package, not your fault mate!
