Not advanced notice. The Patreon server was DOWN when I tried to share this. It happens and I’m very sorry. I shared on Facebook and Instagram and Discord to make sure you got the notification but I try my best to ALWAYS add it here first so you have a heads up! -J

Japan’s Covid-19 Measures - Is TOKYO Travel Safe enough?

Tokyo and Japan are taking measures to prevent the transmission of Covid-19. Today Pater and I will share how that is going, some things Japanese are doing and ask what’s effective. Japan is in a different situation than the USA. The facts on preventive don’t change but the stages we are in here are different than your country. Please keep this in mind. Resource: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/prevention.html (1) Masks works if everyone is wearing them. It’s reduces droplets but it doesn’t prevent you from getting sick. It can infect you through your eyes and if someone is not wearing a mask, the risk is much higher. (2) Face shields protect you from droplets, esp the eyes and offer another layer of protecting, a barrier. It is not a release my for masks. It’s effective with a mask. (3) N95 masks are the only masks that offer proven protection. Again, if everyone is wearing a face covering, risk is greatly reduced. If one person is not, that is the problem. (4) Mouth shields with social distancing work. It’s another barrier that is proven to reduce droplets for traveling distance but it should not be the knot measure. Distance is required. (5) Temperature checks and alcohol help catch infected people before entering crowded / cluster area but it should not replace social distancing. (6) If you feel unwell or fatigued, don’t go out. Stay in and rest, contact health professionals by phone when symptoms do show. Be smart. Stay safe.
