When we were in Tokyo in April we noticed that at every vending machine we could not find beer 🍺? We thought it was widely available anywhere . Did they remove it because of expected tourists that might get intoxicated? Thanks for your informative and upbeat videos !

Probably to prevent underage drinking. There was some ID card thing some vending machine to verify age. I know that the vending machines inside hotels might have beer.
