Esteemed members of The Aunty Donna Club, this month we bring to you:

Deep Dives with Aunty Donna - The Making of Aunty Donna's Big Ol' House of Fun Continued...

Earlier this year, we asked you to submit questions for us to answer in a deep dive discussion about the making of Aunty Donna's Big Ol House of Fun.

That very same day, we changed clothes and sat back down to film a part two to this video where Sam Lingham - Aunty Donna's head writer and approver of payroll - made another shortlist of these questions, and sat back down with us boys for another little chat...

Make sure to check out Part 1 if you haven't already! If you're new to the Aunty Donna Club and vibe these vids, we've also got two others in the 'Deep Dives with Aunty Donna' collection that you might like to check out: 'The Testy Cools' and 'The Magical Dead Cat Tour'.

Enjoy legends!

This is my favorite Patreon content and the reason I became a supporter. Love hearing about your creative process and can't wait to hear about coffee cafe and MDC!

Ryan M

I know it's usually a faux pas to bank them, but I for one am SO glad that this two parter was banked and not shot on two separate days

Joe barsanti

This was amazing. And some really amazing advice as well. I’m a songwriter so I love the stuff about comedy songs, loved Zach’s views on character wants, but I really loved the advice from the end. Thank you, boys!

Alastair Gray

Absolutely loved this, it's so clear that you take the outside comedy bit as seriously as the the comedy bit and look to grow as much on a production/industry side as you do on screen. That seems like it should be an obvious thing but it really isn't to a lot of us, keep these coming if possible please and thank you xxx

Gregor Davidson

After seeing this I’m desperate to hear about the making of coffee cafe! Love you guys and everything you do

Julie Graham

Incredible insight guys. Thanks so much! Every episode of BOHOF is perfection!

Florian Florian

All that talk about cut sketches…giev pls

Zach c

I’m so glad BOHOF found me when it did and it lead me to follow and love these boys. Haven’t they done well.

A.M.

I really love the Australia Day version of Ellen

Oh Hi Justin

what do you guys think of faht?

SezBez91

I always thought how good Zachs hair looked in every episode

Jade Nepia

dang that bike scene is funny

matthew mclelland

This is weird, but can you post the actual link to the YouTube vi? For some reason I can’t access anything unless I watch in the YouTube app. It keeps prompting me for a login.

Rob Frost

LOVE this. So fascinating and fun to listen to you guys

six triceratops

While you're talking about guest stars: "Mention Randy mention Randy mention Randy mention Randy"

Jason Arnopp's Haunted Maze

Absolutely love these two videos about House! And yes, earnest is good. Great balance in these interviews of silly and serious. 👊

Seb Krasnicki

Imagining the alternate universe where Aunty Donna include the cop sketch, get cancelled and then pivot into edgy anti-woke grifter comedians, but also still do silly sketches

Jay

It was awesome to meet you yesterday Broden! You're a legend and I can't wait to see your show on the 18th and DREM at the end of this year. I've been a Patreon subscriber and Aunty Donna follower for years and meeting you made my year. Thanks for taking the time mate, it looked like you were on a mission so I kept it short but I appreciate you stopping! 🙏🙏🙏

Sarah Groom

Absolutely loved the deep dives! Will there be one for coffee cafe in the future? It’s my absolute favourite comfort watch & I totally do not get a vpn free trial every time I need to binge it 🧡

Jake May

Loved all these deep dives! Would happily have more <3

Luke in the Hat

Love these deep dives. Baffles me that anyone would have an issue with sincerity. I love that you give earnest answers while still being funny and having a laugh. I’m not Australian and I love all the Australian references. It makes me feel like I’ve been invited into something rather than having something made for me. Fuck me. I’m just one incidental fan! And yet after following you guys for years I know that if I come on holiday to Australia I’m gonna go to Melbourne and I’m gonna know where to eat, where to buy dream catchers and wooden furniture, where the best shops are and where I can catch a grouse house live show. As a uk fan, so much of auntie Donna’s spirit and flavour comes from that context. It’d be fucked to change it unless, like zach pointed out, a joke is gonna fall completely flat.
