I strongly disagree with Broaden but also have deep trust in his judgement. The last time he said this was the best run in his opinion (during the Dream tour) was outstanding. I'm looking forward to what is ahead but would also respect the comedic choice in making this apology and promise and then releasing an absolutely degenerate run of pods (perhaps feat. someone akin to Jack Dwayne). The sad part is that either way I will be truly fulfilled. To illustrate, I have come to miss the weekly Bitcoin discussions and crisis of the dec'd Dwayne. Keep it up, Broaden Kelly and Co.

The podcast is amazing purely for episodes like that, completely unhinged energy, insane commitment to a bit no matter what. Sometimes I feel the borderline unlistenable ones have to exist for the absolute classic episodes to exist, like this newest era/run of podcasts (494 onwards) has been some of the best podcasts the boys have done, quite genuinely.

It's an awful, awful episode, but it's also a bit like performance art. Once you have the context of the first 519 episodes of the podcast, as well as the extended universe of sketches and tv shows and live show recordings, the you can sort of appreciate it on an artistic level. Again, just to be clear, that still doesnt make it good. But it makes it interesting. And I think that's what makes it art.
