Hello adventurers!

This news is for FoundryVTT users mainly!

Due to popular demand, I made my six Bandcamp RPG volumes into Foundry modules. They load as compendiums/playlists (as shown in the picture).

You can get them here on my new website!

I couldn't do it sooner, it took me weeks to set up the store properly and make the modules (that wasn't simple). Sadly there's no way for me to track who purchased the albums on Bandcamp, so that's mainly for those who didn't purchase my albums yet and are using FoundryVTT.

Side note: the store is pretty new and PayPal still requires some verification on my side, so I need to manually validate each sale. You may experience delays before receiving the download links (as I may be sleeping at that time :P). But all processes went very well so far.

The modules themselves load very fast. I used the short loops in .ogg format (what's recommended by Foundry).

Reminder : These modules don't contain any Patreon files. Patreon files are exclusive to Patreon.

Second info : I'm now referenced on foundryvtt-hub as a creator! It would mean a lot to me if you could go there and click "Endorse" on my page to help me be well referenced. That's really making a difference.

Thank you!

There should be more exclusive content on ~tuesday, it depends on a collab :)

Well crap...I guess I should have held on just a bit longer. I just purchased those 6 volumes on Bandcamp last week (long versions though) and also just purchased Foundry VTT last week and have been messing around with it and figuring things out. I wasn't loving the idea of having to import each track, but last night I discovered a playlist importer module I can install. I haven't tried it, but that might do the trick. I still might purchase these short loops at some point in the future to support you. I will make sure to go endorse you, probably tonight. Anyway, thanks for doing this...it's a great option to have. Follow-up side note: These are organized per volume, which is what I'd expect, but I plan to create my playlists by theme (city, underground, outdoors, etc.) so I will still need to do a lot of work on my side either way. That's just me...I'm difficult. ;)

Oh I'm sorry to hear it :( Sadly I'm not a big company at all that could plan it and widely share the info, I just started doing it full time and it's the sooner I could do it. I hope you aren't mad at me. If yes, send me an email, maybe we can find a solution!

Rob Leonard

Nope, no problem at all. I don't really regret my purchase of the long versions. Purchasing the playlists via this new method sounded like a real timesaver for me at first, but after I thought about it a bit it wouldn't because I'd have to reorganize them into new playlists anyway. I probably should have just kept my "mouth" shut, but I was excited to see this option and posted right away before I thought about it. Thanks for trying to be accommodating, but no need for that for me. I'm good! :)

MichaelGhelfi

The volumes are the only method to have all of my 'public' ambiences. Yes the downside is that you'd have to reorganize them. The spreadsheet (available for patrons) may help you in that regard! Feel free to contact me if you need anything, I'll help you the best I can :)

Rob Leonard

Yeah I get it, no problem. I'm just getting accustomed to Foundry VTT, so I'll reach out when I get further along on the playlist side. Thanks Michaël. :)

Hi Michael I just got Vol. 1 and trying to load it up into my Forge server, but it's not picking it up. Do I have to load each .ogg file separately with a new playlist?

Jesse Shultz

Well, I bought all of your long tracks a few weeks back, but just for the convenience of not having all the messed up names, I bought these as well. I do use the Forge, so hopefully, it works there.

MichaelGhelfi

Hello Michael, thank you for your purchase! No, the playlists were pre-made by me, as shown in the picture. I never tried Forge but I'm sure it should work automatically as well. I have an idea : when you unzipped the folder, maybe you created an extra/useless layer of folder. Give a look at the folder you uploaded on Forge. Is is like : Volume 1\Volume 1\[other folders inside] If yes, delete the first layer so it looks like : Volume 1\[other folders inside] If it's not clear or if it doesn't work, we'll look more in details, no worries Volume 1\[other folders]

MichaelGhelfi

Hello Jesse. That's very generous of you, thank you for your purchase! I do think it should work on Forge, but it if doesn't, you can count on me to find a solution. I just validated your purchase. Keep me updated if you need me for anything!

Jesse Shultz

How do you load these into Foundry?

MichaelGhelfi

There's an explanation file in the modules. It gives the steps. Did you see it?

MichaelGhelfi

The only thing you have to be careful with is to avoid adding another layer of folder when you extract the modules. Beside that, it's very straightforward. Keep me updated if it works as it should. The other people who purchased them didn't have any problem with them

The MAD Cartographer

Just started my campaign so this makes using your stuff a whole lot easier mon ami! Good job

Rob Leonard

Finally got around to endorsing you on the Foundry Hub, and left a comment to help as well.

MichaelGhelfi

Thank you so much Rob! Your comment is really heartwarming, it really means a lot to me!!

Sycrow

What an incredible resource! I was wondering if you planned on uploading them by theme? This would help to more easily locate ambiances for different campaigns? Either way, thank you for dramatically improving our player's experience!

MichaelGhelfi

Thanks! Sadly no, for technical reasons it'd be incredibly hard to maintain. It would require to manage profiles on the website to allow people to update their themed albums when I create something new. And this is only one of the many problems. Like what if a piece is really unique and doesn't fit anywhere? However, I do admit the general idea is interesting.

Sycrow

That makes sense. Either way, I am thankful for your work!
