Hello Patrons!

Many of the best ambiences ideas were proposed by members of the community, both on Patreon and on YouTube. Even though my to-do list is quite big, I would really enjoy hearing about your ideas!

I can't promise to do all of them (and not everything is doable, especially if there are voices), but anything that sounds interesting and doable will be added to my to-do list, and with high to medium priority.

Feel free to propose variants of existing ambiences as well :)

I'm looking forward to your ideas!

Have a good day!

Michael

How about a Steampunk ambience, but not in a big city. Just the Steampunk countryside?

After-battle ambience. Picking up the pieces of a town/village that was just hit hard by raiders.

Minauros, the third layer of the Nine Hells: Stench-ridden bog...acidic rain...thick layers of scum cover its putrid surface... So for this one I was envisioning the following sounds: - bubbling swamp-like sounds (but no frogs or other typical 'normal' creature sounds except the occasional buzzing insect or swarm passing by) - the occasional gas bubble escaping the muck (and perhaps some of those catch fire and quickly burn out) - a light, gentle rain, with the sounds of acid sizzling the ground and muck - distant roaring/snarling fiends - occasionally incoherent orders are barked from those fiends - occasional lightning and thunder, and occasional winds that come and go You could make another with those same sound effects, but with a slow, ominous, minimalistic background tune.

Stygia, the fifth layer of the Nine Hells: Freezing realm of ice...cold flames burn within...gloomy sky crackles with lightning... For this one I was envisioning the following sounds: - ice expanding, with an occasional loud cracking sound - ice falling and crumbling (similar to rocks falling in a cave or from a cliff) - occasionally a fissure in the ice releases a gout of cold flames - cold wind fading in and out, occasionally louder for 2-3 seconds, but mostly minimalistic background noise - occasional lightning and thunder - distant roaring/snarling fiends - occasionally incoherent orders are barked from those fiends

Small scale interior combat; an “oh no, the bandits have broken in, fall back to the armory!” kind of thing.

I imagine a Steampunk world to be centered around big cities with steam technology. So I think the countryside should sound way less hectic. You can hear some farming machines and light conversations. Maybe also the wind from the countryside. Maybe some pipe noises and families in the background. As ambience music I imagine it to have a noir jazz vibe mixed with old cowboy country songs. So maybe a banjo or a slow bass. Just suggestions😊
