Hello Patrons!

I was working on suggestion by a subscriber on YouTube, "Glass Garden". As it is, it's quite unclear what's expected and how it should sound, but I liked the general idea it evoked in my mind, so I thought about giving it a try.

After a few hours working with the new synthetizers, I was finally creating the sounds I wanted.

I made four ambiences for this pack. One will be on the album, one will be for the ENNIE-victory free pack, and two for you! On top of that, I made two additional SFX, just to cool down a bit after the hours of work this pack required.

Ambiences

Glass Garden (Dark)

Will work for many different settings. I sincerely love the evolving synths I used and how they blend and mix together. It could also work for Sci-Fi settings.

I used the sounds of tree leaves falling on the ground, modified, to create the feeling you are in a crystalized garden (think of the Crystalsong Forest in WoW, I let you google it).

Glass Garden (Voice)

This ambience is very original. It features the voice of my friend Adrian von Ziegler, who speaks in a language of his own creation. This voice line was already used for my ambience : "Elven Nobles Garden", a year ago. I reworked it to give it a slightly surreal/inhuman feel. It's not eerie though. Those who aren't here for TTRPG reasons might find this ambience quite relaxing as well :)

SFX

Crystal Leaves

Magic Harp

Two strange and unique SFX which will easily be remembered by your players. The Magic Harp is a recording made by my friend Arianna Ferra Gennari (you may hear about her again in a few days). I modified it and added some effects over it. It could be used by a bard for a very strong/rare spell.

The other one goes well with the theme, it's the crystal leaves, but with magical effects over them, as if something was happening.

Thank you for your support! I'll come back soon with more content ;)

Hey Michael, really like the new ambiences. I have a request though that would help me out when downloading the new stuff. What I typically do is just extract the .zip file to merge it into your existing library folder that I store locally, as a result of that it's not always easy to find the new files that have been added. Would it be possible to list them with the folder paths included so it's easy to find the new files? Something like: Ambiences/Medieval/Glass Garden/Glass Garden (Dark).ogg Ambiences/Medieval/Glass Garden/Glass Garden (Voice).ogg SFX/Medieval/Magic/Crystal Leaves.ogg SFX/Medieval/Spells/Magic Harp.ogg Especially with the SFX, I found myself a little confused about where to find them - because I initially expected "Crystal Leaves" to be inside the pre-existing "Crystal" directory. And I expected "Magic Harp" to be inside the "Music" directory - but they were both elsewhere so I had to do some searching.

Hello Andrew. Thank you for the suggestions, it's smart. I'll try not to forget. As for the crystal leaves and magic harp, I do agree both folders make sense. I think 'crystal' and 'music' do go well as categories, and I decided to change them (I updated the .zip accordingly). It doesn't change much though. I'll be more careful next time!

I think the main ambience track also works well for winter/unseelie court, ice queen lair, etc. The addition of the voice on the second one is really well done too. Both of the sound effects are great and I know I'll use them somewhere soon. Great job! :)
