Lok'tar ogar!

I really like orcs in games. I don't know how your orcs are in your setting/campaigns, but mine aren't dumb or needlesly brutal and agressive. I'd say they similar to Warcraft's orcs. That's how I like them!

For this month's adventure theme, I prepared a huge pack of ambiences. It's the theme that required most work so far, for everyone, but it was worth it.

With the team, we agreed on "orc camp" as a theme, in the idea of Ogrimmar (see pictures). So it's not a small camp, it's similar to a city.

For the ambiences, I prepared a "base" ambience, and I made variations for each of the main biomes. However, I haven't been lazy, as there are modifications inside each variations : New animals, new monsters, other kind of interactions between the orcs, different city noises, etc.

Also, I prepared a "training grounds" and an "interior perspective" in case your players enter a building.

=> For this pack, Pierrick and I mostly used the voices of the community! If it wasn't for your participation, we would never have been able to provide this audio. You want your voice in our work ? Please check that link. You don't have to be professional nor have professional equipment.

About SFX :

Pierrick joined the team in late June. While he will still provide the 30 sfx for this month, you'll receive the rest of the batch (11 SFX) probably tomorrow or on the 2nd. I'm sure it's not a big deal at all but I wanted to mention it.

I think this might be my first bit of negative feedback, but I feel it's worth mentioning. I was really looking forward to this pack, but I'm disappointed with the SFX. The ambiences are mostly on target, and I appreciate all the variances for different environments. I would have preferred the "hammerings" and such removed from some of the environments though...like the swamp and jungle...but it's plausible they're setting up tents, repairing armor, etc. so no big deal. The SFX sound cartoonish and silly. I run a serious campaign, so I doubt I would use any of them. I'm sure there are some supporters that appreciate that style though. Just not for my tastes.

Understandable, thank you for your feedback. It makes sense. I'll speak with Pierrick.
