I seriously started to think on how long and tedious to watch Theo’s development was. For someone who bragged about the story being a fantasy action thriller, I seriously slept on Theo’s char. development from protagonist to unti-hero.

Not drawing for a while because of school seriously gave me some time to think. If I left things as is, we would get the same ol’ from zero to hero anime we’ve all seen before. I never had any intention to make this a journey about how he became stronger, neither did I want to put in the same old anime training montage and the teacher-student dynamic between the two grown men.

What did I change then? Theo fights on the army’s side as a last resort soldier (by that time he will have already developed on his own ,without Speedy’s influence), which results in both of them “meeting” each other in an already fully developed ,from both sides, state.

In a nutshell, I basically just changed the time stamp. Their meeting takes place further in the timeline, giving Theo enough time to stop being a little bitch baby and actually put up a fight against the behemoth of a monster that Speedy is.

I prefer the “rogue sadistic bastard to rogue sadistic lover” more than “little btch baby to rogue sadistic lover” character development, since I never wanted to make the grinding part the focus of the story.

Oohhh I actually really like this idea!! It is something different, and seeing problems and fights from just Theos perspective (before meeting Speedy) sounds really cool and interesting!

I really like the idea of not having a "good character" as a protagonist and to have a... prologue? (If we can call it like that) where it shows some of Theo's development. I can't wait to know more about this story aaahhh!!! I think It can be a breath of fresh air.🥰

This sounds like a really fresh and more exciting. You’ve created such intriguing characters and I’m always excited to know more about them and the dynamic between them! 💙

I love it, it gives so much depth to Theo, it's great! Today, despite all the references we have, it's hard to find a character who is not a cliché of an anime hero (even my characters I sometimes have a hard time not making a cliché) and frankly, it plays a lot on the character's past, I really love the fact that Theo has already lived a lot before the story begins. The character becomes complete and you want to learn so much more about him (curiosity/100).
