Natural #medicine has been practiced for centuries upon centuries across the globe and is still used today, despite rabid attempts to suppress it by #Rockefeller and Carnegie (year 1910) omitting everything from universities to usher in a NEW kind of medicine - #pharma-created westernized meds with massive profits attached. (They also shut out women and blacks from becoming doctors, many of whom had been practicing medicine.)
This type of medicine is largely not long-term tested as it's only been around for about 100 years. And while there are cutting-edge procedures and miracle drugs available, not everything falls into that category. More often than not, prescriptions tend to have side effects...often terrible ones that lead to MORE necessary prescriptions.
This was not the case with natural medicine. "Here, eat that root" has come back due to more education. Chinese, Ayurvedic and Japanese medicine have been used in cultures in conjunction with modern meds, creating healthier cultures with longer life spans. But America can't patent a root, sovereign silver, or dandelions. They can, however, dazzle people into killing their yards in favor of weedless greenery and push lawn pesticides so they don't cultivate an apothecary just outside their front door...something bees thrive on.
The person in the white coat pushing For-Profit medication with side effects probably has less than 2.5 days of training in nutrition during their entire academic career (fact) and even less holistic training. Contrary to belief, holistic practitioners don't reject Western medication, unlike their counterparts eschewing natural paths and lifestyle/diet changes.
And if supplements and natural medications didn't work, why do we have to completely stop taking them two weeks before surgery?
The medical community doesn't treat the body as a whole. We see a specialist for each area and rarely do those specialists communicate with each other. Homeopathic doctors take a whole-body approach.
We also don't have our loved ones overdosing on roots and teas and suddenly passing away.
What's been your experience with this?
