Weird USA Fact: Until this year, America never had an official language. However, it was almost GERMAN, which failed by just a few votes. New York was originally called New Amsterdam. That's why we still have such a 'fantastisch' German presence here, including the Amish, our Christmas traditions, and pretzels - but it certainly doesn't explain the awful piss water we've called mainsteam beer for ages. By comparison, one of the most defining aspects of German beer is the Reinheitsgebot, also known as the German Beer Purity Law. This historical regulation, which dates back 500 years, outlines the limited specific ingredients that can be used in brewing German beer. Under this law, German brewers are limited to using only FOUR ingredients: malt, hops, yeast, and water. However, English is Germanic, so we're still kinda speaking German-ish. And our beer has improved, thanks to the locals jumping in to fix things. Now, here's my booty. Erm...mein hintern.
(I'll have the rest of this posted soon those in the naughty content tiers. Xo!)
