Fun 4th facts you can use to amaze and impress your friends and family!-The Declaration of Independence was actually approved on TODAY'S date, July 2nd, 1776.

-Benjamin Franklin REALLY wanted the "respectable" turkey as America’s national bird and argued the bald eagle was a “bird of bad moral character”. Ever see all those little cat and dog collars lying among the tiny, hungry eaglets in the nests when they do a live eagle cam?

He may not have been wrong...

-Some of the other Founding Fathers get all the credit, but I always felt Thomas Paine was the coolest daddio. Here are some of his quotes - and by the way, what the hell happened to our language? We lost words, they just disappeared! We really should bring back "plunder", "horrid"...maybe even "brethren". That last one sounds much classier than "bros."

*"Arms discourage and keep the invader and plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world as well as property. Horrid mischief would ensue were the law-abiding deprived of the use of them."

*"Any system of religion that has anything in it that shocks the mind of a child, cannot be true."

*"Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state, an intolerable one."

*"Lead, follow, or get out of the way."

*"The World is my country, all mankind are my brethren, and to do good is my religion."-PAYNE

Hey, doing good should be everyone's religion! Kindness matters - it's the oil that takes the friction out of life. :) Much love to you!
