Home Sweet Battlefield. Ah, House Collapse. Oh, My Zombie Mermaid.

These were all the titles to the same film, which was kind of a big deal in Japan with full theatrical release and a cult following. I play Mistress Eva, a bad guy. Girl. Whatever. No one works longer shooting hours that Japan. Whew. 14-17 hours per day were normal. We trained with a stunt guy from China for 2 weeks beforehand and did some other kick ass scenes that didn't make it into the film. Sonim, my opponent, is a Korean pop star, not a wrestler, but Shinya Hashimoto was the owner and main star of Zero One wrestling, a big federation in Japan, and was great to work with. He's since passed away. But this is one of the coolest things I ever did that almost no one saw, so I'm sharing it here!

My name in Japanese is "Shigatsu." In French, it's Averill. Fun to find out in each place and hear their accents. My friends & family started calling me "ahhhh-preeel" for a long period of time after hearing the Europeans call me this. It was cute. :)
