What's better than Christmas cookies???? Even if you don't celebrate Christmas...the cookies...the cookies are the best!

On this day 5 years ago:I wrote this years ago after Mom died and it popped up in Memories. With a few tweaks, I think it applies now as well. ♥️

I want to say a very heartfelt THANK YOU. I feel very fortunate to have such amazing fans and friends - and I appreciate ALL of you who are exactly that. My gratitude is more than you’ll realize. So many of you have gone above and beyond, it has floored me at times. In winter, an abundance of potential lies beneath the ground. You can’t see it, but it’s there. If you were to unearth the seeds and bulbs that have been planted, you would sabotage the emergence of grass, flowers, and food in spring. So, you wait and allow them to be nourished by an unseen source of abundance.This is no different than YOU as a person. At this time of year, we do too much. We wear ourselves down and forget to stop, breathe, and enjoy.

We also tend to reflect back on the year we've had - often with dissatisfaction. Don’t. We are exactly where we should be right now. This is a learning curve of change and adaptation we need. It's meant to shape us; to break our monotonous routines, create real feelings and emotions, and challenge us. You’re like the ground, always. You have within you untapped potential. Amazing things can emerge whenever you want them to. Regardless of age, you can always grow, understand and live life more fully. The day we stop learning is the day we die. Just because you are breathing does not mean you are alive. Every single minute means a fresh start can be right NOW. Live in this moment. It's all we have, and I think that's a hard lesson we've come face to face with this year. Be happy in what is around you.
