We'd had several matches in this Elite 8 competition that night, with both of us driving FAR to PA for Pops (Afa the Wild Samoan). Beth was coming from Canada and me from Boston, so I can tell you that by the time we got to this last level and had gone through Ariel, Sarita, Angelina, Traci...I can't remember who else but it really was the best of the best, the top 8 female wrestlers of that era, we were feeling it. But it was FUN. And this was a memorable match. I remember wrestling Gail Kim, who was La Felina, at one of these shows and using the headscissors submission on her - teaching her how to take it. Then she literally TOOK it and used it from then on. Hahahaha! Ah, he/she who gets it on TV first.............wins.
