We really only show half of our true selves on social media. A performative view, a cultivated character, whether we realize this or not. Smoke, mirrors, filters. It's who we think people wish to see. This is one of the reasons why many eschew socials. It's too exhausting to keep up the pretenses.Who we truly are is much more than this...much more complex. More real, much less put-on, coated in grit, with real depth. We fear most seeing the real version, lest they don't accept it, or it's used against us. The flaws, the weaknesses that we all have. And that version is probably far more interesting.Perhaps some, who have played victim instead of rising up to be a victor, do not have the trauma they cling to so voraciously for attention. To expose this would expose them. And those who hide everything that's happened to them behind smiles or under anger and by stating "everything is okay" might be purged.
Imagine...if we were all truly honest with ourselves and the world for a moment. How healing that could be. Truth brings so much light.Life is energy. We get what we put out. Everything is a direct reflection - from who we attract into our lives to opportunities (or lack thereof). We have all the power to change everything - only WE can change everything.Love and light.
Curiouser and curiouser!
