Hi-So, I missed a few days of Countdown posts over the course of the month and I'm trying to get caught up now. I had surgery...and then when I noticed the stitches weren't dissolving and everything was SO painful, I had to go back in to have it looked at...it was infected...with staph....which I'm still dealing with. FUN! I'm on the good drugs, though...a couple of different antibiotics. It's healing well now. On top of which, Oct kicks off my busiest time of the year with posts and making holiday soap/candles for the rush/craft shows/appearances...and I've been hitting the podcast/TV show circuit hard non-stop to help promote Kill City Cup, an awesome wrestling movie you can find on YouTube.
I make fun stuff that's all-natural. :) www.Etsy.com/shop/AprilsScentSations
This week we have Shelly Martinez returning on The A Show for a special Halloween-themed episode. Please join us! We're LIVE at 7p EST/4 PST on Wed evening on Twitch.tv/TheAShow
Replays are available. We did an AMAZING show with former paratrooper, historian, and war expert Tony Arterburn about what's going on right now and what we AREN'T being told. You can watch that for a few more days on the link above.
We also had a fun show with actor & musician Wade Hunt Williams, who talked to us about spirituality, acting/life advice, and balancing family and career.
I'm appearing at Mistress Mary's Film FestEVIL for a meet & greet in Port Richey, FL on Saturday and then I'm in Memphis next weekend for custom wrestling.
Contact Liberty Pro Wrestling for a match if you're interested!
Last but not least, I had a (mostly nude) photo shoot with Seth Roland on Saturday and it was HARD work (I'm feeling it, as we twist, arch, and bend in horrific challenging poses until we cramp up), but I think it'll be beautifully done. I'll share some of the BTS pix in the paid tiers, but I can do a couple of sneak peeks here.
I'm mid-journey on having my house painted and it's wayyyyy past when I should have done this, since it's a wood home in humid Florida, but I'm still learning the ins-and-outs of being a homeowner. I'll tell you this...if I'd had a house when I was younger ("the American dream"?) I wouldn't have had a career. There wouldn't have been time. There's too much to do, to handle, always something that needs attention...and it's ALL expensive. It literally never ends. The upside? I can put a movie on super loud at 1a and enjoy it at a decibel level my mostly deaf ass prefers. ;) But if I'd have had to deal with something breaking on a Friday...and appliances and pets ONLY break after 5p on Fridays...I'd have never been able to fly out to appearances or shoots like I did. I'd have been in Home Depot wandering the aisles looking for someone that works there (anyone? Bueller??) to fix a plumbing issue or waiting on a repair person to show up...or shit like that. So, don't buy into narratives. There's good AND bad with everything. You don't have to have kids to be fulfilled. It's okay to be single, it doesn't mean there's "something wrong with you." You don't have to own a house...renting is freedom to some degree. You don't have to drive something fancy. Buying an older, used car and paying it off is also freedom. Freedom allows you to do things you really love and enjoy. Hope to see some of you in the A Show chat on Wednesday and/or in person on Saturday for the film festival.Xo.
