Some flowers last forever.  Some last for about 3.5 hours.

I felt a serious sense of urgency when the camellia started to bloom.  Nicole was out of town, the weather was hot, the clouds were gone, and I just really wanted to make a shoot happen before springs first flowers were gone.

Luckily Robin Mae came to the rescue, and despite the difficulty of the light we were able to create some photos that I just love.  Normally I shy away from sunshine, dappled light, and blown out highlights, but sometimes you just gotta embrace it, and see what you can do!

Hot weather and blossoms can be dicey timing ? Thank you to all photographers who have their memory last forever - as long as the print exists !
