Orcus, Day 2 - Ramanthys (Patreon)
Content
Ramanthys, judge of the earthbound souls.Pronouns: they/them, non because they're non-binary, but because demons can inhabit more than one body at the same time.Do they have sex with themselves? No, they've always too much work to do.They're the bottleneck of the entire process of allocation of earthbound souls, judging for each individual the fittest residence on account of their past deeds and overall attitude. It's not like assigning eternal damnation or eternal joy because of what you did in the span of a few decades on Earth, a pretty jacked-up system, but more like finding the right place for a specific type of personality. An extremely social person who did a lot of charity? Assigned to a heaven megalopolis. A rich asshole who loved to toy with his relatives for which one would get his fortune? Enjoy your big empty castle lost in the nothingness.Ha, and what does "earthbound soul" mean? Well, just that if you believe that the Underworld for you is underground, you're assigned to the earthly part of the effective Underworld, while the souls that believe in an afterlife set in the sky or underwater, get to the respective sections of this same Underworld. Also, I've been wanting to draw a green man-kind of character for a while, and finally got the occasion to contextualize him (sorry, them) in a story. This is my personal October challenge: Orcus, journey into a frustratingly horny Underworld.
