In interest of a full disclosure, I'm been struggling writer's block for The Good Life for a bit, and I feel like it really shows in the next chapter so I'm not at all happy with it upon a reread while I was getting everything set up. The chapter was meant to introduce the last arc of the Arcane jump, but it felt more like filler.

So, I will be rewriting it, and I need a few days to do so. Sorry about that, but TGL should be updated by Sunday.

Thank you for your patience.

Can you do a horror verse arc where law and his allies go Imagine him meeting pennywise 🤡

Makes sense and thank you for the update. Speaking personally, I have had somewhat mixed feelings on TGL for a bit now. I think the main problem has just been that Law doesn't seem emotionally or physically challenged often. He's been the biggest fish in the pond (or close enough) that it feels like the story's direction has stagnated a bit. I thought the part where he was nearly assassinated by Asami was a bright spot physically and the moment where he returned to The Boys and saw Homelander's grave was also very good emotionally. But leaving those aside, it does feel like Law has free reign over the playground and is mostly content with that, which isn't the most compelling to read about. I do enjoy it sometimes like when he was corrupting Jinx/enslaving Tifa, though. I would say a similar analogue is the lightnovel/anime Overlord, which had an objectively horrendously evil protagonist, but that wasn't really my main issue with it. It just became clear that there would be almost no challenges for Ainz somewhere along the line and I think it ended up worse for the wear. Now, I don't think this story is nearly in such dire straits because Asami is still out there as a narrative challenge and you can always go to worlds with higher powerlevels if you really want. I'm less certain how to challenge Law emotionally but I trust you there as a writer. This isn't to say I've lost interest in the story, but simply an indicator of concern over its current state.

2026-10-17 23:00 Yeah that tracks. While TGL is my favorite of your current stories this last section has dragged a bit. Here’s hoping we get an indulgence style section for all the new girls like Mirko, Nobarar, Maki, Aeirtih and Yamato soon! 🤞

Thanks for the heads-up. TGL is my favorite story, though I have to say that some chapters felt a bit drawn-out—not that they were bad, mind you; it didn’t really detract from my overall experience with this arc. I sort of expected this to be a transitional arc, focused on consolidating Law’s Empire and settling both new and returning characters into their new roles. Perhaps that’s why, even though some chapters felt a little slow, I still found the arc satisfying. For instance, I really enjoyed the chapters featuring Sukuna and Swain, as well as the squabbles within Law’s harem; that said, I’ll admit that my interest in Ambessa had waned a bit, right up until these last few chapters.

I feel like one of the big appeal points to the phenomenon your describing is how it affects the world around them, and that goes double for existing settings due to it throwing canon into whack. But yeah it's a major shift from where we started, it actually parallels well to See No Evil except the story carried past the ending.

Speaking of horror verse/Meeting pennywise. I think law should lose someone to pennywise like jinx or someone who is close to him. Reason because law at this point is overpowered to low/mid tier worlds but worlds that have powerful beings like pennywise should put law in check big time and I think asami and her allies should be there too and lose too 😁
