Hey, guys! I want some feedback about the update. Do you think it was good? Was it lacking? Was it not what you expected? I want to hear more about it. If you want, you can send me a message if you'd rather keep it private!

Let me hear more about what you guys think! :)

My feelings are a little bit mixed about the update to be honest. I like the story so far. The sexting feels good as well. The feeling of danger is there as well. But it somehow felt really short. I replayed it after I've seen the review from Roul and it surely has everything you promised. I can see, there are in fact many renders. We get the bathing scene and the unexpected visitor. We get the sexting and it like it so far. I can't really describe why it felt that short for me. Maybe because it has been only one day (or even stopped in the middle of it). Maybe it was because we did not get impactful decisions we could do. I'm just not really sure why it felt so short for me...

Preston

I agree it felt a little short but you can only do so much with the time u have

MB

I like where the story is going; the Ava and Sophie extra scenes felt a little ham-fisted but makes sense since it's also showing the new options available and they were, 'extra' after all..

Scarecrow

I like the development of the characters, particularly Asuna. I admit Sophia constantly has me off balance. My first impression of her was that she was just a flighty fling - fan service. I know it's part of the set-up for her, but I've struggled to catch up and only now am starting to do so. I don't know if that's me, or if she needed a bit more edge at the outset. In general, felt a bit short, or maybe abrupt. Maybe lingeriing more on service than the plot, and I think maybe more focus needs to be on the plot. There is a LOT to set up, and sometimes the sexytimes feels like a little step back in pace (I know, I know, it's heresy and I can't believe I'm saying this!). I presume something happens with Asuna and Tom's bout. And I'm still hung up on your use of eye color, convinced it's code. The sexting/pics feel a little clunky, mechanic-wise. I don't know what it'd take to do this, but it'd feel smoother if a picture could just be clicked on to expand it, rather than adding another choice. Overall, I guess I love the content (great add for Ingrid, although I'm not sure how to feel about her, but thumbs up for "Barbarians!") but feel the pace needs to be evened out In film editing, one leaves scenes "on the cutting room floor" because they may dilute or slow down the pace. I'm reminded of the saying by a famous designer, "I know I'm done not when I can't add anymore, but when I can't remove any more." You have a lot of awesome story to tell and a lot of awesome scenes (lust or not); I'd focus on making sure they serve the greater purpose. That doesn't mean it has to always be a Big Event; banter can be a useful, even crucial element (see: Asuna/MC).

I realley liked the rework of the introduction, smooth. I only suggest that you get an option to play again in total from the start; maybe i did miss that

Peter Paul Beckman

In general i still like where this is going, but i did think the end of the update was too abrupt, we where just in the middle of :fight"asuna/tom and then it ended , hope you can manage to sort that out i had the strong feeling that there was a part missing

I hate the questions at the start. That will piss a lot of people off. What I did or didn't do months ago I can't remember or care about. That made me quit the game immediately. I can't fathom how the game can start in this manner. It makes zero sense. Did you test what happens when you start a new game? edit: I mean start a new game with no previous saves or persistent files like I did.

what do you mean it will piss a lot of people off? it is this way so that our choices that we made are carried over, choices that matter to be carried over is something we requested and something the dev assured us that he will find a way to implement them in the new game vrsion with improved code. I get if you don't remember some of them since i also had a few of this myself (so i just opened the previews version of the game and looked up what choices did i make) you can not start this game any other way than with a new game, you can't import old saves because there IS nothing to import over

R246

Has the game been remade again? What is the purpose of needing to carry over those choices? Are 0.6 and 0.7 both standalone now? I don't get why this needed to be done. None of this makes any sense. Imagine some people don't live on Discord or gather in herd echo chambers. Imagine.

so far this was mostly a code update, something that it's not gone be visible for 99% of people, meaning that they will not see nor understand what's new and what's not, outside of the ui change. The content of the update is, naturally, smaller than what your usual updates had, again this was a CODE update mostly NOT a content update, i knew this since i finished the last update (+ the meseges that you posted) therefore i would say that the next 3-ish updates are gone be more important, now that the heavy work of new codeing is mostly done you can go back to focusing on the plot and on the "plot" hopefully with fewer bugs (even tho i have yet to encounter any, there are some who do every now and than) i would ask 1 thing tho, as far as i can remember your last updates also had displayed the (+X coruption choice a, +X love chice , coruption route choice a, love route choice b; things like that) witch made me no longer req a mod for the game, not from the start but eventually you did make it show later on witch was something that i rly liked, i hope that you plan to continue that trend because i did not see any of that show up for the new choices (altho it might be because none of them had any coruption/love points to give) another thing that you could do before the public relase would be the "what choices did you pick in X,Y,Z event, at the start of a new game, make it so that it shows what points it would give you, for example did you or did you not let the cops inspection to come to school, in the prologue you had the effect displayed on the choice, however i think it would not be a bad idea to also have them displayed here when you pick them, because while most of them are obvius what points the choice gives, some of them are not, if nothing else it would make it easyer to remember what you MIGHT have picked if you can't remember EXACTLY what the event itself was

Bro, what are you smoking? Why would you care that it starts with a few questions? It takes like 30 seconds to get through them and you're complaining about that. I have complaints to, but none of them are as small as that. How about the fact that we haven't had a Julie update? You should be outrage :( :P

Come on, let's keep the conversation civil. I am taking into consideration all of the feedback here. I like to hear what you think about the downsides as much as I do about the upsides. I'll find a solution for those who haven't played the prologue and don't want to engage in the choices when starting a new game. :)

That's another patron you've lost today. Well done standing up for free speech. Not. I don't tolerate simps. And I'll not tolerate you any longer either now.

Sigrid
>>106100924

i have a fealing you did not play the previews updates because if you did you would have known that this update IS the start of CHAPTER 1, all the previews ones were the PROLOGUE, so yes they are 2 diferent games in a sense, heve you never played a renpy game that has multiple chapters? if so than you just learned that this is how you transfer the choices made in 1 chapter to the next ones, i don't get what all the fuss is about, this dosen't make any sens

R246
>>106100924

Isn't the changelog or the udpate release post the place to mention these things? The game went from 0.69 to 0.70 and it's chapter 1 now. But not mentioned unless you search for buried comments / go on the discord. So yes all my fault. Whatevs. I don't care now. I pulled my support and deleted the game. So too bad.

Lazy Bloodlines
>>106100924

It's okay, really. You're an adult, so you do what you will. It's a bit disappointing, but understandable. You don't have to support something you don't believe in. I won't tolerate, however, having my supporters throwing insults at each other on my Patreon page. You can all disagree with me or each other, but I need to draw the line at insults, especially since I'm responsible for moderating this place. Saying that, I do believe you have some valid points, though. The beginning of this update could be more friendly to those who have yet to play the prologue and are starting to play the game in Chapter 1. So I'll work on improving that. When I say I like to hear both downsides and upsides, it's because it's my job to look past the waves of insults and find what information I can use to make the game better. The game is still free. So, hopefully, you'll still enjoy it after a few updates. And if you won't play it anymore, then that's it, and we'll both move on with our lives. I thank you for the time you were here supporting me.

R246
>>106100924

You didn't look past the insults though, did you? You got involved and chose a side. You made it personal. I wont forget that.

DoobieDoobieDoo

We've got people shouting down feedback and even questioning why feedback is being posted to a thread titled 'Update 0.7.0b Feedback' that starts, 'Hey, guys! I want some feedback about the update.'

Don't dare criticize Lazy Bloodlines white knights or you'll be censored as well! On a page where LB routinely posts pics of cocks and tits.

Lazy Bloodlines
>>106130886

Come on, R246... Criticism is fine. The only thing I deleted was your commentary only telling another supporter to eat himself and calling him names. I'm sorry you felt like I was censoring or attacking you. It was not my intention. I'm just trying to keep things civil. You can all disagree with each other as much as you want. But I must draw the line when someone starts throwing insults at each other.

Zar

Good update so far, havent finished it all. Posted more on Discord. Edit: Finished and the update ends kinda on a weird, off-note, abrupt.

R246
>>106130886

Liar. You selectively draw the line. It's okay for your discord simps to attack supporters here but they're not allowed to fight back. I called him a loser. Wow. Big deal. A troll on the internet got called a loser. He is a loser. Objectively. The "eat himself" thing I think your grasp of english isn't the best if that's what you concluded.
