Five of Cups

Disappointment, sadness, self pity. Wallowing in regret about how things didn’t turn out as you expected will prevent us from seeing the blessing we still have. 3 cups spilt, 2 remain standing. Process your feelings and move forward with what’s left. Do not allow this scenario to compromise your vibration. Thanks to Mattarot for providing the card's meaning.

Great body and the color of the cape pop very well!

Dan DesRosiers

The partnership on this is incredible; the illustrations are awesome interpretation of the cards’ meanings, and the interpretations of the card meanings are also awesome and unique… Oli could have just used a guidebook for the meanings but having someone familiar with the CB universe to provide the interpretations makes them all fit so much better with each other…

The outfit in this one, and the tarot outfits in general are BEAUTIFUL!

Cabaret Bara

Aww thank you so much. Matt's input on the tarot project has been invaluable. He's so good at simplifying complicated concepts in easily digestible bite-sized definitions. The way he summarized the "vibe" of each card and the symbols in the original designs has helped me a lot in my own creative process by cutting down a lot on the time I dedicate to research.

Cabaret Bara

Haha he's sad and he certainly has the body of a Greek god if nothing else lol.

Cabaret Bara

Thank you! Matt and I have both built mood boards for them and they've been a great help for style references.

Cabaret Bara

Thank you! He might be sad, but he's at least a good-looking sad.

Dan DesRosiers

Yeah it’s clear that the pics and the descriptions are made for each other and made to fit within the context of the whole CB universe… the consideration for the context is what makes them so special and not like you’re trying to pull “our world” into theirs… and the attention to detail, like I pointed out in my comment on the last card with “IRL Ben” having a tattoo of the card that “Tarotverse Ben”was featured in is next level on creating and maintaining cohesiveness

Wow just look at the amazing sculpture of a man you have drawn!!!! Absolutely stunning. Perfection

SteTeto

Pavel is the perfect subject for the more "happy" arcana. Jokes aside, the Sad Giant remains one of my favorite characters. Great work!!!

Adam Lunter

I agree… too bad he forgot about the remaining two cups.

Adam Lunter

This is magnificent… almost regal in a certain way.

Cabaret Bara

Thank you! Pavel is a pretty challenging guy to draw, but I think he was worth the effort after all :3

Cabaret Bara

Haha thank you! I can't wait to explore Pavel's story in the comic too.

Cabaret Bara

Thank you! Perhaps Pavel has a some royal blood in his veins, who knows? We should have him do his family tree.

Benjamin

This may be Pascal at my most favorite I have ever seen him -- and I'm not even a customary Pascal fan! Just whoa, dude! :D

Cabaret Bara

Calling him Pascal was your first clue that you weren't a Pavel fan 🤣 sorry, I couldn't help myself!
