I love Bébé… beautiful and strategy-minded. Still, I have to admit that I’m surprised he has a very similar outlook to Alek on the faeries’ relationships to humans (although he doesn’t seem to think they are disposable). In a sense, it’s good that he’s kind enough to not throw Markus into the ring before he’s ready. You can really see in this comic how “young” Chéri is… not just physically but also ‘intellectually’ in a way. He’s still having to learn hard truths, isn’t he? Good news is that it makes him more adorable.

I think that the difference between Bébé and Alek is that Alek comes at it from a place of disillusion while Bébé comes at it from a place of regret. But they both lost someone incredibly important to them in the Champlain Bridge incident after all so of course, they have a lot more in common than not. With that being said, I just realized that I forgot to include the story you wrote, but it's okay, I'll add it to the next Pinky is the Brain as it is sort of related.

This page is proof that pink and lime can go together quite well. Thank you for this entire chapter. It was just what I... never knew I wanted from you when I became a patron. What a treat ! If I may add a suggestion, I think when it comes to action scenes, you could experiment a bit more with the shape of your panels. While I understand the benefit of readability, especially with so many patrons reading from their smartphones, it'd give a dynamic and urgent feel to the fights to have frames of different shapes (not just squares and boxes), or frames so large they overflow the boundaries of the page. (see Scott McCloud's comics about the Invisible Art, and his chapter about Clarity VS Intensity)

Thank you! I keep telling myself that our slogan should be: "Come for the dicks, stay for the drama!" 💀 I admit I'm keeping my panels very simple mostly out of laziness. It's not really that I don't wanna design more dynamic ones, it's just the the square ones are soooo much easier to split into strips and individual panels for IG and Twitter. But I'll keep your critique in mind and try to incorporate more chaos where pertinent. Thank you for sharing it.

You know that Faerie content is how to get me hyped!! I love this. So interesting that Bébé feels Markus isn't ready yet considering Markus has been on the frontlines twice already! The line about all aspects of kindness is curious...can't wait to see what he means. My first thought was something a bit dark. The second panel in the bottom strip is my favourite. It's stunning.
