I think that Beth knew that deep down Daryl did care about everyone at the prison and the reason she got mad at him was because he was acting like he didn't.

I really love this episode, from start to finish—I think it was just perfect. It was such an unexpected duo, yet it worked so well. Two characters who are so different from one another, with completely different backgrounds, and yet, seeing how much they mean to each other, seeing them together, helping one another—it was truly beautiful. Daryl protecting Beth, watching over her. And Beth helping Daryl express his emotions, helping him open up to her. Because Daryl is a character who usually doesn’t open up… he often keeps things to himself, never says how he feels, and the fact that Beth helped him express his emotions—that was just beautiful. I don’t think Daryl has ever opened up to anyone as much as he did with Beth. And when you see Daryl cry, we all cry, it’s impossible not to. Deep down, he’s just a big teddy bear who needs comfort, and seeing Beth holding him in her arms to comfort him—it was heartbreaking. Despite his tough exterior, he’s really just a soft teddy bear inside, and I think that’s one of the things I love most about Daryl. It was also incredible to see Beth being so strong, becoming the best version of herself. She has always been everyone’s little sister, the one everybody protects, the one everybody loves. She carries this innocence, the way she sings to comfort others in her own way. She represents a kind of innocence and hope for the group. And it was amazing to see her grow, become strong. And the fact that they burned down that house at the end was so meaningful for both of them—like saying, “Let’s just leave the past behind us, everything that’s happened, and keep moving forward.” It was something they both truly needed, especially Daryl. He’s suffered so much growing up, with his father, with Merle, everything he’s been through. He needed to let all that go, stop holding on to the pain, and just focus on the future—the new Daryl he has become since finding his new family, the group. And for Beth, it was about leaving behind that fragile young girl everyone always had to protect, and becoming someone strong, courageous. Leaving all the hardships of their past behind. Honestly, for everything this episode represents, I absolutely love it! And after this episode, people just adored the Daryl and Beth duo. <3 I'm happy you liked this épisode ^^
