Damon didn't even flinch when klaus was about to get him

I love the set up and attention to detail in this show. I briefly thought, okay Elena you're in the humans only cave, why aren't you texting or calling Damon?! Then I realized that not only when Elena was first dropped donw there she tried to call and had no signal. BUT there was even more setup to have this make sense in the episode where Bonnie and her Mom opened the coffin. Bonnie had no signal either and left for a bit when she wanted to call Damon. LOL as much as all of these characters are kidnapped they should all have like satellite phones and gps chips sown into their flesh at this point.

Defan yes ❤️ Damon doing that for Stefan was the best moment for me he knows Bonnie and Elena and everyone will hate him for this he anyways did that to save his brother from even further guilt Damon can be really selfless and we see that here. That’s Caroline and klaus scene was so sweet 😻Caroline does bring a totally different side to Klaus and it’s so interesting to see.

Well Defan obviously, I think it's more about Stefan at times though than anything else. It's his overcoming a blind spot concerning Damon that he eventually set up himself that he couldn't see in his brother or refused to see in his brother, part of the superiority complex he developed over the years. That Damon was still his big brother always looking out for him and protecting him from the worst parts of life and always wanting was best for his brother, while Damon doesn't make any big fuss about it as part of the duty and honor of being the big brother. We both know how long that took for Stefan to actually realize this, despite this is what Damon has been doing for a very long time, taking care of Stefan as best he could, trying to help him learn control of the blood lust, learn to love and accept himself as person. It goes back to what even Elena says at the start in season one, the insight she gained into Damon early on, that Stefan just brushes aside. I really think that Damon believes that everything he's done, every move that he's made, he's done for love. It's twisted, but kind of sad.

The superiority complex of Stefan on fine display in this episode.

Kol my other favorite Original besides Klaus

No Coincidence that Elijah letter scene follows the scene with the talk between Stefan and Damon, Damon protecting his little brother and the regret of having to do it, as he covers up by saying about being bad.
