LOL I just realized that when Stefan saw a crow Damon appeared cause he used to have that crow. In season. It was the first clue that Damon was there. Not sure how I missed that so many times...

I feel the need to correct the interpretation of Damon having Stefan feed on a human in 1912. First that did not create the ripper. Stefan was already a ripper. Remember Lexi fifty years earlier: "you're a ripper". However in the beginning he had shut off his humanity and was killing people left and right but if you notice he wasn't feeding on people until their heads fell off He had no real emotions so He didn't feel guilt for doing it.. Lexi had spent years previous to 1912 attempting turn Stefan's humanity back on. Fast Forward to 1912. Stefan is on the bunny diet and has turned his humanity back on. Damon is pissed at him but decides to give the whole brother thing another shot. Damon had ZERO idea that Stefan feeds until he chews off his victims heads. Look at Damon's face he is shocked and horrified. So I don't think Damon intended for Stefan to become a ripper as some revenge scheme. However I do agree that the reason Damon didn't go after Stefan right there was because of his resentment toward Stefan.

Defan the true love story of the show ❤️ And as Libby said Damon doesn’t make Stefan the ripper he was a ripper since Lexi first met him and she told him about being a ripper in 1864 when he just turned. Damon did walk away and as he said he could have stayed and helped him but he wants to now. Damon loves Stefan and what he did in this episode might look fucked up but it’s to save Stefan. Stefan needs to accept his this other self and not be ashamed of being a vampire and drink blood if he wants to control on it drinking animal blood for him doesn’t Make sense at all. Elena doesn’t understand this yet and she was disgusted seeing this and rightly so but she needs to understand this and accept that he is a vampire he needs to drink human blood. I reacted the same way as u when I first watched this We love ric so much I was like noo don’t you dare touch him. What Meredith said though makes so much sense everything has consequences when Bonnie brought Jeremy back to life he could see ghosts that was a consequence and so you can’t cheat death the dying and coming back to life isn’t normal and as Meredith said how many times can u die and come back to life before it changes you.

LOL, yeah when they were still using some of the concepts from the books, but reduced their powers some due to the cost factor that would ensue.
