Your best reaction yet! Klaus body did not burn once coffin closed fire went out and Bonnie had already removed Klaus from his body.

Elena was like "maybe if we met first..." but it turns out Damon and Elena did meet first, she just didn't remember it ;]

I just felt for Damon there if klaus was really dead. Damon would have died all alone.

What a beautiful finale. One of my favs of TVD. I feel so bad for Damon his best buddy Ric died in his arms while he realises Elena is also dead that look on his face with him crying was so heartbreaking it always just breaks me. Felt like just going and giving Damon a huge hug. He always looses people close to him or who he loves it’s just so heartbreaking to see that. I totally get you that moment whr ric comes to say goodbye to Jeremy is so dam sad I cried again watching this episode with you. The underwater scene is just terrible and very sad poor Elena must be so traumatic to go through such a tragedy again but honestly it looks so dumb Elena and Stefan were arguing under water for so long couldn’t Stefan save them both take them together out of the water. The writers clearly wanted her to die here lol. But I have to say Elena saying goodbye to her dad always always breaks my heart :(( We get to know Elena actually met Damon first which is really interesting I loved the flashback of them and specially what Damon tells her you noticed he tells her you want a love that consumes you and she tells this to Matt in today’s episode that being with Damon just consumes me which is a very interesting parallel to the flashback. Onto season 4 now it’s an incredible season for sure!!

The opening the episode with Elena Dancing is very important and all the various flashbacks of this episode. The opening shows us Elena prior to the survivor's guilt and depression she had for surviving the car accident, this is the person that Stefan met. The person that Damon met, was the girl before all of that, if you go back and watch the road trip episode of season one, this is the Elena we see in that episode, the one from the beginning of this episode. Furthermore the important matter when it comes down to her choice in the car, it's being made with her head, not her heart. Everything she is saying here even goes back to the excuses she made at start of the series making excuses as to why she couldn't date, and what she had to say about Stefan to Matt. Furthermore, one of the biggest reasons she "strung" the brothers along is Katherine's long shadow, she didn't want to be like Katherine loving both brothers. So, she chose Stefan as the safer option. Also, what her mom says about how she feels concerning Matt, she's just afraid to admit her feelings for Damon still. Damon get's the actual good bye both literally with the phone call, and then hold Ric/her in his arms as she died. Such an emotional moment for Damon. All of the connects to what we see take place in Season 4

Also the song played during the 60s Dance.... Well, where oh where can my baby be? The Lord took her away from me. She's gone to heaven, so I got to be good, So I can see my baby when I leave this world. We were out on a date in my daddy's car. We hadn't driven very far. There in the road, straight ahead ... The car was stalled, the engine was dead. I couldn't stop, so I swerved to the right. Never forget the sound that night ... The cryin' tires, the bustin' glass. The painful scream that I heard last. Well, where oh where can my baby be? The Lord took her away from me. She's gone to heaven, so I got to be good, So I can see my baby when I leave this world. Well, when I woke up, the rain was pourin' down. There were people standing all around. Something warm running in my eyes, But I found my baby somehow that night. I raised her head, and when she smiled, and said, "Hold me darling for a little while." I held her close. I kissed her our last kiss. I found the love that I knew I would miss. But now she's gone, even though I hold her tight. I lost my love ... my life, that night. Well, where oh where can my baby be? The Lord took her away from me. She's gone to heaven, so I got to be good, So I can see my baby when I leave this world.
