You are true about prophecies. It may or may not come true. But Melissandre told the prince that was promised will bring the dawn and ends the long night. And this dagger did end the long night. But prince/princess that was promised might not have used it. Missandei said that noun has no gender so it could be prince or princess. And this prophecy could be for the books (which are yet to finish) where George R R Martin mentioned in an interview that a song of ice and fire is about Jon and Daenerys. The prince/princess that was promised. So maybe GoT didn't go with that prophecy and we may get an answer in the final book or in a sequel series to GoT.

Do you remember in ep 2 Laena Velaryon mentioned to Viserys that Vhagar is still alive. The dragon of Visenya. One of the 3 dragons from Aegon's conquest. Laena said Vhagar has not been seen for a while since she is too big to be housed in the dragonpit and that she is somewhere in the Narrow Sea and that workers of Spice Town sometimes hear her singing a sad song.

The director mentioned in the inside the episode video that Daemon could not do it to Rhaenyra because he felt guilty and also because he saw Rhaenyra was also interested and took charge. That was a turn off for him. That's why he didn't go with it.

I feel bad for Otto. I think he is unfairly reviled by fans. Literally the one thing people hate him for most is sending his daughter to seduce the king. I think that colors everything else he has done. But pimping out your daughter to the highest bidder is what every lord does on this show. It is the most normal thing in the world. It's what Viserys is doing! Instead of openly proposing a match (which would have been refused for not being sufficiently advantageous to Viserys), Otto instead used his proximity to the king to sneak his daughter into the king's heart. And in the end the king made the match. I'm not sure why this is more morally wrong than straight up openly offering Alicent to the king as a wife (like the Sea Snake did). Do people think it would have made a difference in Alicent's happiness? The end result for both courses is the same: a formal match and getting routinely fucked by a rotting old man. Otto is so interesting to me because he serves the king, his own house, and the realm. And everything he does can be interpreted are serving all three at once, which makes him a very hard read as a character. Still, so far I find comparisons between Otto and Littlefinger to be very misplaced. Littlefinger does not give a *single* shite about the realm or anyone other than himself (and grossly, Catelyn and Sansa). He expressly precipitated wars so he could benefit. As Varys said, Littlefinger would let the realm burn if he could rule over the ashes. So far, that doesn't seem to be Otto's MO.

the sept of baelor has not yet been built. it gets built like 80 something years from now. currently the big sept in king's landing is the Great Sept
