... and we will be ready to baptise it in water and plaster!

I'm still not quite sure I understand its purpose. What does this thing do?

LatteTreat

I just wonder who will be the first one in it

BracedLife

Not sure yet. Emily would be the first most obvious candidate as she is a petit girl with now a lot of experience being in the big casts.

Castrookie

Emily sounds good, I can not wait to see the result.

BracedLife

She is a real trooper when it comes to the big casts. Nurses love to cast her.

BigB112

Nice piece of metal. Can´´'t wait to see it in action.

BracedLife

We still need to manufacture cart with wheels, that will let patient roll around while in the frame - I'm not sure if we should make it with metal or wood blocks, as both versions were present on the old pictures. And the connecting rods that will hold patient in place.

Castrookie

I could well imagine Emma, too.

Castrookie

I would find a metal car better. This looks more like a hospital

BracedLife

She could probably do it too, but she might be our most skilled nurse when it comes to the plaster application, so it is always good to have her in the plaster tech team, especially for the first time with something big like this will be.

BracedLife

I too find the looks of metal items berred, but the frame is pretty heavy by it own, not to mention how heavy it will be with plastered person inside. I'm afraid that metal working against metal will cause scratches on the frame, so either way a metal cart would need to be secured with something soft (like bandages) on the spots where it would touch the frame, and would require some welding. Wood is softer and would not leave scratches on frame (especially when frame will be circled around) and would be easier to make with attaching wheels being easier etc. Probably in the long run we will make both.

Castrookie

Do you already have an idea how big the cast should be? Would you cast the legs and arms, too?

Castrookie

For a long time nothing has been heard about this project, there is already something new?

BracedLife

I'm waiting for new parts to arrive that will allow connection of rings to body. Once they will be here I will take more pictures with manequin. I think that during summer we should have first live patient in the ring.
