I am having trouble downloading the video, which goes to "0 Bytes" instead of the expected +1GB in size.

It's 9GB large. Maybe try different downloader.

wow. That is huge. Was that shot in full HD?Also, I was always wondering what language is being spoken by the girls. Is it Slovak, Czech or Polish?

I think I know what might be the issue, The video got some songs playing in the background from shopping mall speakers, that was catched by the youtube song detection system and it might prevent the downloading by certain sites, that don't allow downloading the songs themselves. Some downloader that does not have such restrictions will help.

It actually wasn't that. I did a virus scan with my Avast Ultimate Clean-up program, and it turns out a virus had corrupted Mozilla Firefox and its add-ons (which includes video downloads) so the Youtube video downloader read the APK file as 0 bytes instead of its true size, so the software couldn't "grab it" properly and interpret the file size. I got it downloaded after my software converted it to an MP4 movie file format!
