I've been trying to wrap my head around Layer 3 characterization details. Can they generally be broken down to "exceptions" or peculiarities to how a character would react when in a situation that usually brings out a Layer 2? Like with the stinky Mario example - where he acts differently when around Peach (Layer 3) but with everybody else, he doesn't care (Layer 2).
