I'm excited to finally present the part I've been working on for months!

Fun fact, the original draft of this scene was one of the very first interactions between Lucky and Pix that I wrote when I first started working on the comic.

I still can't believe I've made it this far into the story, everything was basically leading to this point. Something that once felt so out of reach is finally becoming a reality. It's surreal to see how far this project has come and it's all thanks to you!

Well, Lucky saw right through Pix, atleast partialy. I really hope that fairy moron will see Lucky's improvement when he attacks that dummy and rip it to shreds. Pix is a good manipulator, that I can see. And he is definitely an experienced abuser for any kind of dark types. So I really REALLY hope that Lucky will teach him a lesson.

Egg moves open up a good bit of possibilities but Snarl is the move learned upon evolution for umbreons and Lucky tends to be a good growly boi.

My guess is that... Lucky will fail. I hate to say it but Pix is right. One day won't change much. An improvement? Yes but... I don't think so... Unless it's that "new move" Lucky learned...

Ironically Pix's nonsense amounts to alot more than just one day. Pix may not have been training Lucky properly but training is still training. Lucky might just be more evasive than defensive and other qualities that a normally and naturally bulky umbreon typically isn't.

Something that caught my eye was that Pix had enough time to take a picture but not to step in and stand up to Lucky like he did when Cinder was questioning Pix. Also, I noticed some projection from Pix regarding his worry about reputation instead of actual merit, something he is clearly afraid of. I cannot wait to see where this goes because Pix is overdue for some sort of humbling.

I hope he tears that training dummy to shreds! I have high hopes for it... Let's be realistic: his Special Attack, Physical Attack, and Speed are low, judging by the stats shown. With a bit of luck, he’ll deal more damage than before, but it won’t be anything spectacular. I know Pixie would keep mocking him and pressuring him to throw in the towel—to give up on his dream—but there’s a certain irony here: the very guy she hates—the one she’s supposed to be training—becomes the test for her own promotion. He proves that she isn't ready to level up. This just goes to show that her past still haunts her and that her prejudices against Dark-type Pokémon will end up destroying the dream she wants so badly... and it will all be her own fault. I want to see the look on her face when she’s told she failed her test—that her dream has fallen apart.

If he fails then that would be disappointing. I hope even if Pix thinks he fails that we get something juicy like a tease that Lucky DOES know a move if he doesn't just blow that dummy to smithereens

This is the first time Ode has named the pages. "Pix vs Lucky" might imply that they get into a fight of some sort or maybe it's just the argument that we see here. Either way we're in the thick of it now

Can’t wait for lucky to let loose. I’m really enjoying this comic so far. Here’s my conspiracy theory: There is something more going on with Megas and there is some sort of coverup that Ampharos is involved with. On Instagram, it’s alluded to that Lucky’s mom went mega. Lucky mentioned that he is after info on where his mother went. If Ampharos is involved in shady business, he might know where Lucky’s mom is/suspects that Lucky is here to find his mom. If true, Ampharos might be using Pix’s racism against dark-types to stop Lucky from exposing info.

It's also possible that this picture has been taken by someone else who shared it online. It certainly would be on point with how much some of the scouts hate dark-types. Pix would also easily know about it as he's always in social media and others would certainly ping him on this since he's Lucky's trainer.

This is a really interesting look on how Pix sees things. It also interesting that Pix is being honest in this discussion. I doubt that he has ever been this open with others and I wonder if he even realizes it. Some of the more important things that Pix said: "Most Pokémon has absolutely no idea what they're getting themselves into." "Earning a badge is easy. Can you actually carry the burden of what it represents?" "All you show is weakness to them. And after that, you seriously ask why no one takes you as an equal?" It's going to be an agonizing wait for the next upload to see what happens next.

A fair point, however I feel like Pix would probably allude to it being on social media to use as ammunition to breakdown Lucky.

That training dummy does not deserve what is about to happen to it. But the real beauty is that Pix is finally going to taste real and utter failure in something he had such egotistical confidence in. He has failed to break Lucky.

Okay but this officially places this is cluster-f territory because even if one didn't know Pix's ulterior motive, there's enough shit coming out of his mouth to be inviting for relieving Mabostiffs If Pix continues, there's no way he comes out on top. The longer he keeps this up, the more likely the faculty will catch on to his motives. If Lucky does end up quitting, all the trust in the Society built from Pix's enlistment will be destroyed and the Chief will be forced to deal with the fall out. Pix's goal of comfort is doomed to fail and he doesn't even realize it.

I've been thinking more about this and at this point I think that Pix taking the picture would go against the narrative set by the comic: 1. Pix is extremely noticeable and always draws a crowd, since he does not normally spend much time in public. Yet there was no sight of him in the cafeteria. 2. Pix likes to be in the center of attention and he's always thinking about his public image (which is supposed to be the perfect scout). Swooping in and diffusing potential fight would be something others expect of him, both as a sergeant and as an icon of the society. 3. Vex mentions that what the Luxray did was a punishable offense (bullying). Pix is a sergeant and such would be expected to reprimand the Luxray if he was around to witness it. 4. The picture itself seems be taken quite close by without any other Pokemon in the way. There even seems to be other Pokemon behind Lucky that would certainly see the picture taker. And as soon as others realize Pix is there, he has to act in a way he is expected to. (Not to mention drawing everyone's attention).
