I'm not married to the idea of just showing myself, but if I didn't have to hide it might free up other avenues. Please answer honestly, I am just getting a pulse for how people feel and there's no wrong way to answer. ^^

I hope youre not feeling pressured into revealing your identity! We're all supposed to be here for your content, not the creator behind it. I wont leave regardless of what you do. Its not "important" for me to know what you look like in order to enjoy your stuff. I'm here for the content at the beginning and end of the day anyway. And face or no face, youre awesome at what you do 😄 Theres already a lot that youve shared about yourself with us and we should be so thankful for it. Only share what you feel comfortable with sharing. Hopefully everyone has been respectful of your privacy so far and hopefully that won't change regardless of what you decide. I'm glad you're comfortable enough with us to consider a face reveal and that this community has been mature enough to not put you off from the idea completely.

Putting a face to the voice doesn't negatively affect things for me. It just adds a realness and depth to the rambles and person aspects. You as a person have a life beyond the audios which, right now, is all shadows. It doesn't affect the story audios at all. I think of it like the author page on a book the name gives form a picture substance.

I’m all for face reveals because I see them as a point of trust that you have with your audience. It doesn’t affect the way I already view the content, but it does make me happy if you’re completely comfortable with it :)

Only thing that matters is your self preservation and if why you want to change your boundary lends to that more than why you set the boundary in the first place. Won't change my listenership either way. If you've played out the "what's the worst that could happen?" fully with yourself and maybe w/ ppl you trust, and nothing unsustainable comes up, then do whatever lets you sleep at night and doesn't steal your joy.

Like I said on stream, I don't really care if you do one, as long as it's not followed by a voice reveal. Thank you, that's a great perspective. I think it was a boundary I set as part of GWA standards--I learned it was bad to reveal so I never revealed. But as Reddit is no longer a platform I service, some passive reveals on Patreon and YouTube might be fun, and revealing for Twitch you can imagine would be that much more attractive.

For the record, *I’m* even a tiny bit stressed about keeping your face hidden. So I’d wager many are much more on guard than I am, keeping an eye out for possible threats to your privacy. Because doxxers always be doxxing and people here largely care about you as a human being. Just my two cents. Thought it worth mentioning that any relief you’d feel, might be shared in some way. (Then again it might be a moot point. Surely there will always be *something* to worry about. Doxxers always be doxxing.)

Definitely do what makes your heart happy <3 As for my honest opinion, I prefer not to see faces for NSFW stuff, because I really enjoy the fantasy / imaginative aspects. For me, that’s a major plus of the audio format. Perhaps use title screens, so we have an option? Just some thoughts!

To be perfectly honest, I generally prefer the faceless creators I listen to to remain faceless. I have a personal desire to maintain a certain level of distance from all the creators I enjoy (which is why I usually lurk), and there’s something about face reveals that get close to crossing a line for me. However, if you do choose to reveal your face, it won’t make me leave or start thinking differently of your work; at the end of the day, you need to do what’s best for you.

Oh lord the things I want to say to this....I'll keep it simple. I dunno about others, although I have a clue, but I became interested in you because of your talent. I stayed because of how you seem to be an amazing person that anyone would be lucky to call a friend. What your face looks like doesnt change who you are. That's like saying you would stop being friends with someone if something happened and they no longer looked the same. This response slightly alters the phrasing of one of the choices. I usually prefer not to see entire faces for NSFW content creators because I'm demisexual. I've become disinterested in objectively attractive creators because they didn't interact enough for me to know what they're like as a person. That said...! I have seen your posts and personality from the very start. Your personality and humor is the reason I checked out your work! I find you to be more and more lovely all the time. I've seen your kneecaps and they weren't covered in cheeto dust and your knuckles weren't dragging on the ground; A reveal would only be a positive at this point. So... TL;DR: "Not at all. And I'd be more invested" turns into. -> "A little bit. And I'd be more invested." 🤭😚

I treat it like a good author. Do I know what Laurell K. Hamilton looks like? Yes. Does it color her work, certainly. But does that knowledge color my enjoyment of her novels? Hell no. I would read her work because I love it and identify with the main characters. Same with your voice and the stories you weave with it. i personally love all your content and have come to be very invested in your streams particularly. i strongly believe that you should do what makes you comfortable and what you want to do. if that’s doing a face reveal then that’s great, but if you’re still not comfortable that 500% understandable. you’ve been faceless up until now and it can definitely be a lot to show yourself. as great as it would be to the person who i have come to know these past few months i’ve gotten used to not putting a face to the voice (outside your profile images). that being said with or without a face reveal i still enjoy your content and actively look for it! very little, if anything, would change as far as my viewership of your content

I love all of your content no matter what that’s what I’m here for and I’m here to stay. Sometimes it’s nice to put a name to a face but that doesn’t always have to be the way. I wouldn’t leave if you never showed your face or if you did show. I just hope you don’t feel pressured into doing it I just want you to feel comfortable about your choice.

Tom, it's your decision on how much you are comfortable to share of yourself with us. I came and stayed for your content, talent and personality and neither a face reveal or something else will change or affect that in the slightest. If you want to extend the boundaries you once set and you're comfortable with all of what might come with doing that, it's fine. I just want you to be safe and happy. Being in this NSFW community for a while now that has mostly meant only seeing parts of a person's appearance and I was glad for that just because of the fact that it meant that they were treating carefully on slippery grounds. I do like the distance and upheld line that comes with being faceless, as it is less problematic. But that doesn't mean that I'm gonna judge or even change my view on a creators talent and output. I can totally understand that now you're more active on Twitch that you are inclined to give your audience a face to look at and connect to your work. Just don't feel pressured to do so. So, TL/DR: Show us whatever you are comfortable and feel safe with. No negative effect on my view on your content. Just be and stay safe. Because you know, people can be crazy idiots. 😉

Everything you do makes me happy. I dont really have an opinion about a face reveal. If youre comfortable sharing that with us I'd more be honored that you are willing to share that with us. The poll didnt really have an answer that I felt similar to. Tom, the way you look doesnt effect how I feel about your work nor will it in the future. That doesn't mean I don't want to see you, this is kinda dumb but I feel like I know you so it's strange to have never actually seen you. That being said there is absolutely no pressure. I think why I may be so cavalier about this is because I have been in the public eye before as a creator or influencer one way or the other, and showing my face is just par for the course. It's incredibly unnatural for me to hide it! But thank you for your support! Those crazies actually develop less power over me the more I expose myself. Staying needlessly secretive makes me feel more vulnerable. Revealing myself is kind of this declaration against my haters: This is me and I'm not scared of you. This is ALL of me. Perhaps this means you and I may have never shared this space? I can't answer that. But I do know that the urge to do what feels natural for me now is growing every day.
