A couple things. According to sources Mitch was very jet lagged and drank a couple of Red Bulls before the show. There are several other videos from this show and he is clearly very hyper. They are definitely worth watching. Also, Kevin is there, he was putting his cello away from the previous song. He’s just not in frame, the person who recorded this probably knew this was a Mitch song and focused on him. Mitch is an introvert but when he’s on stage he occasionally comes out of his shell, especially when caffeinated.

“The beats are amazing” is the understatement of all time. I always marvel at all of them keeping the syncopation going so consistently. It would be easy for this to go seriously awry. Did you catch the little peeks from Scott and Kirstie? Not sure they were prepared for Mitch going so dramatically, either. 😆 BTW the official video has a whole different vibe (kinda spooky/creepy) and is worth the watch, plus Avi uses his overtone singing. Be sure to watch till the end 😉

At the beginning they are singing the end of a four-part classical piece, Anton Bruckner's "Christus Factus Est" (1884). They sang it while Kevin was offstage putting away his cello. He is back by the time they start "Aha!", though the person taking the video is obviously a Mitch fan and we never see Kevin.

10 years ago there were not a lot of decent quality live Pentatonix videos but now with the improvements to phone videos even the fan concert videos are pretty good. And you can't go wrong with anything from the 2022 Hollywood Bowl concert, which was filmed for streaming. And there's a video with four songs from the 2016 PopSpring Festival in Japan that was filmed by MTV.

Here for PTX! This is one of my favorite performances of them. Been a Pentaholic for years!!

I second Popspring 2016! I absolutely love that performance, and 3 of the 4 songs performed are originals (Cracked, Can't Sleep Love, and Water)!

He's grown in confidence as well over the years, same with Kirstie. The two of them during their performances on the Sing Off back in 2011 were quite reserved and a lot more introverted than they are now. They've truly busted out of their cocoons and become beautifully angelic butterflies lol

It's said that Avi's low note blew out their sound system, you can tell it's a bit crackly after that lol, also, dunno if you've seen Voice Play before, they are another acapella group and if you love Avi's lows you will have your head blown off by Geoff Castellucci who is their bass! Recommend their 'Valhalla Calling', 'Oogie Boogie Song' from Nightmare Before Christmas, and 'Jack's Lament' done by Geoff is phenomenal, and also always down for PTX, long time Pentaholic!

Popspring mini concert with 3 originals and The Evolution of Michael Jackson is a great live performance. You should check it out.
